Dear You,

I would like you to pray against war in any form in Nigeria. Meanwhile, I pray you keep on faring good in Jesus name.

Let me continue from where I stopped last week on our topic, SIN - THE PRODUCER OF DEATH.
We examined the life of Adam, and we see how the sin of disobedience in the garden has produced death in his life. Now looking at the life of Cain (Adam's first son) that sin which Adam committed had became a seed which then got replicated into Cain. If you read the book of Genesis chapter four you will find that in his case, the seed of sin which came from Adam into him got amplified. You see that Adam only disobeyed, but Cain murdered his brother (can you see that?) In verse 6-7 of that Genesis chapter 4, you will see that God intervened and tried to inform Cain to master the sin that is in him. Because God knew that Cain and his brother had the seed of sin in them, although Abel may probably has been learning and trying the master the sin in him, but Cain as we can see was a rebellious person. So Cain failed to resist the pull of sin and once again, God got disobeyed!(in spite of His command)

Now God who already knew what Cain had done, came back and asked him, "where is your brother Abel?" Gen 4 vs 9. Then he made the kind of error his father (Adam) made, "I don't know, Am I my brother's keeper?" Gen 4 vs 9, that was Cain's reply, imagine!
So you can see that it was the same sin of disobedience Adam committed that Cain committed, but in Cain's case, it wrecked further damage.

And that was it, death arrived in the life of Cain. Adam had to struggle with thorns and thistles, but in Cain's case, the land won't yield at all. Hence, Cain became a rebel to God. But in God's mercy, he brought another plan called Seth. It was until Seth was born that men began to call on God.

Now take this lesson in the life of Adam & Cain and contrast it with your life. Especially you first born, look at your father and lineage, the look at yourself. What do you see?

Till next week.

Sincerely yours,
#aderichardss Outreach
