Vivo Y51 December 2020 'crystal symphony' unboxing and review.

Not to be mistaken for any other Y51's, Vivo Y51 December 2020 borrows some design language from the Vivo V20 but is totally different on the inside as well as size. There's little or no trade off for the average midrange phone user and even for the tech savvy users, asides gaming CPU, a higher refresh rate and an AMOLED display, there isn't a lot more you can actually ask for at its price.
The battery life is definitely exceptional, owing to low heat emission chipset - snapdragon 662 CPU, paired with a lite UI.
As usual I paired the default camera side by side GCAM (Google Pixel Camera), for the fans of GCAM (See screenshots below)

Price - N109,900

To me, the price tag is toooo much for a SD662 device. Maybe it was made that way because of the Amoled and refresh rate. (who cares by the way?)

At least it supports GCAM unlike some brands grin

Look at the details in the picture that was taken with GCAM compared to the stock cam.

All in all, make Vivo go sleep.

Nokia 5.3 uses snapdragon 665 chipset and is sold at 77k and its better than this vivo nonsense.

Oga I have told you, you can't port gcam to any phone especially phones using mediatek chipset. Mediatek doesn't release their source codes to the public making it very difficult.

Only like 3 high end mediatek chipsets has gcam support. Unlike snapdragon who release the source code of their chipsets.
