As a regular user of the most popular e-hailing service provider in Port harcourt, I was shocked this morning when I couldn't get a ride to my business place as against the norm around here. It was when I called a bolt driver that I was reliably informed of the shut down meant for today to register their grievances with regards to the 20 percent charge by Bolt, lack of profiling of riders (putting their life in danger), incessant harrasement from government task force agents, harrasement from airport agbero's etc.

Pls Bolt should do well to listen to them jare. Thank God I had other options but bolt is still the best here.

I learnt similar protest took place in Abuja sometime ago. See video below.

Hello Bolt Management
We are your Driver/ partners From port harcourt, we are growing fraustrated with the draconian style you have adopted in handling our business partnership....we have a couple of demands we need you to look into and address in order to continue our business arrangement without any issues...... We will be downing our tools on the 29th january 2021 to call your attention to our demands

These are our Major Demands in a nutshell

First and foremost BOLT formerly TAXIFY should as a matter of urgency establish an office in Port harcourt immediately!!!

1. Bolt must REVERT their COMMISSION to 15% or Increase FARE to N100perKm as it was when they came to town newly.

2. Proper PROFILING of RIDERS as was done to Drivers during registration. We need to see and know the person(s) we are picking up.

3. AIRPORT fares to be pegged at N5000 pending a resolution with FAAN at the PH int. Airport.

4. UNBLOCKING of DRIVERS who had issues with Riders in which the Drivers' side of the story was not heard. Both parties need to be heard before action is taken.

5. Riders RATING of Drivers to conform with the standard set in the Drivers App.

6. RIDERS re-orientation on how to treat Drivers and how to behave before and during a trip

These are our demands in a nutshell and we believe that you will consider them and act accordingly
