for those asking for past questions,
Im in the finance line and typical for the commercial recruitment day programme: YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO WRITE A TEST. The first phase will be an interview one-on-one whilst the second stage is the recruitment day which is a whole day (like 8 hrs or so), the whole day is centred around you being able to think outside the box and show ure a team player, also u must be proactive- think on the spot and give reasonable solution to impending problems. after that if ure successful u may be asked to meet with the head of ur department.

I have acousin that just got in through SRD (Shell Recruitment Day) in 2009.

I dont know the procedure for the Physical and Medical Sciences and Engineering tho, would probably be different.

Anyone with any info pls post

Best of luck to us all,

Re: Shell Recruitment Day 2011 by danny2010(f): 9:29pm On Apr 09, 2011
Hi guys.

I was shortlisted. i know at least 3 pple that were shortlisted for various roles too.

About the recruitment day, there is a stage before SRD day. sometimes, shell nigeria organises interviews to see if you would fit into their organization but other times is a SHL based test first before the actual SRD day. This year, i hear its likely to be the SHL based test, if you are successful in the test, you get called up for the SRD day.

I have applied to shell a couple of years ago, passed the test but the SRD didnt go too well so here I am again, grin

All the best guys. Cheers

@raiisaj Are you sure commercial grads would not have to do a test?
Re: Shell Recruitment Day 2011 by olukemif: 5:55pm On Apr 11, 2011
Yes im very sure commercials wont do any test, i stand to be corrected though,

From what i know, the first one on one interview will be in lagos office. Tho i was told also that if ure not in lagos they may arrange to have a telephone interview with you (i havent seen anyone who has experienced that before tho), but i know for the commercial positions, if you scale thru the one on one interview stage then you will be invited for the SRD.

Best of luck to us all,

Yes im very sure commercials wont do any test (unless they have decided to change that this year), i stand to be corrected though,

Since some of us think there will be a test maybe we should all be preparing for a test then (u never knw) with shl practice tests but i will be very surprised if there is a test cry

http://www.shl.com/tryatest/takeatest/pages/takeatest-english.aspx there are other loads of pratice tests out there on the internet, just think it as a means of updating urself even if there wont be a test (which i personally think there wont). Atleast there will be no surpises, shocked

Best of luck to us all,
