I hate to say this, but these northerners are not really doing us any good, how could you oppose something that the world has to come to accept?

The main reason is that crypto is reducing the money they are making from bureau the change. This people are terrible. Backing everything thant channel Nigeria backwards.
Take it or leave it, Northern Nigeria would have been like Mali(large expanse of land with little productivity) without the south.

Northerners are still in stone age who want to benefit in everything that belongs to 21st century but refuse to accept it as a way of life.

Well, dunno how to trade with crypto but how does it affect price of cows and how is it against their holy religion, or how is it a blasphemy to their holy prophet this time? as that is their only problem.

This is false representation of the truth. I actually watched d video of this debate this morning on channels. The person who made this proposition is from Plateau State. In the same video, another senator from the north(forgot the name) was of the opinion that banning crypto is counterproductive as the youths will find another way as it was the case with the end SARS protest, when accounts were suspended,the youths still transferred money via crypto, in his opinion, the government is better off finding a way of regulating crypto transactions instead of banning it outrightly. so i am really wondering where this blogger got his info from and coming out here to further incite more divisiveness among Nigerian youths with this headline. What i have discovered is, for the Nigerian elites, things like religion,ethnicity do not mean much as long as d money keeps rolling in. The middle and the lower class are d ones fighting themselves out for nothing. This video is actually available on youtube(search for channels tv) for all interested to go and view before making conclusions.
