it's better we are told the true specifications of a phone and the price than one company telling us something else and bringing out another thing.

Nokia and their overpriced phones! They still believe they are in thesame league with Samsung. Over 200k for a midrange device with LCD screen and 5g that is useless in Nigeria....and a 4000mah battery! I'll pass.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 lite, makes alot more sense than this. A phone i bought last year for almost half the price (about 147k). SD730g is just as powerful as SD765g, camera's are about thesame but 10lite has manual autofocus & continuous focus on video recording, 5260mah battery vs 4500mah battery, 398ppi pixel density vs 386ppi, infra red remote control, 16g lighter than that brick of a phone (no offence Nokia fan boys) and the best part is the beautiful Amoled screen, that helps conserve even more battery! Although i am not a fan of curved screens, its still a better looking phone!

Hey, guess what, its running on the latest Android 11 update released last month!

There are still other good mid range devices on mi note 10 lites price range, so pls what justifies that over 200k price tag?

Nokia was once a king.

Still a king o. Their phone are top notch.

Just that they didn't seize the opportunity when they had the chance to grab massive market share

The way OP started listing out what he didn't like about the phone from the beginning of this post gan...
Even downgrading the 765G for not playing PUBG on HDR shocked

If it were another mediocre device from transsion he'll be singing their praises even when the SoC used (ahem...P22) struggles to play PUBG after 1 or 2 matches angry

OP better you learn to be unbiased in your reviews or you no go blow commot from nairaland.

I wonder why Nokia has refused to make a phone with 5000 mAh battery, I think I'll stick to Xiaomi for now.

Some are having 5000 mAh;

Most likely optimization issues.

Cos if I'm correct, it should play at HDR without tweaking

No, it's not. Nigerians are just too poor, that's why it seems the price is on the high side.

Nigerians will open their wallet and bring out N243,600 just for a phone that will reign and go away and become a junk in a few months time.

That money is enough to start one in a good business and earn multiple streams of income.

And what if the person already runs a thriving business and is well to do? Earns a high salary? Should the person not enjoy his/her life? Shouldn't spoil himself/herself? The reality is that there would always be people who earn more than you do and their spending power exceeds yours. And there's nothing wrong with that.

HMD Global's latest flagship is supposed to be uphold their show stopper smartphone camera reputation and it actually does so, with its new cinematic mode . The camera output indoors is by far the best that I've reviewed on this channel. I compared it side by side the GCAM shot (see a few of them in the screenshots below).

Nokia 8.3 5G weirdly spots a fairly powerful midrange chipset (Snapdragon 765G) and honestly, in my day to day use, I don't have a lot of complaints about this chip other than the fact that it's just not as snappy as a flagship chipset and can't play PUBG on Ultra HD setting. As at the time of publishing this review, Android 11 update has not been pushed. Be sure to get to the end of this video for my conclusion to know why you should not buy the Nokia 8.3 5G just yet. Unfortunately, I could not test the 5G speed on this phone because 5G is not yet commercially available in Nigeria.

Price: N243,600

At that price, and still resembling 5? I guess you're paying dearly for the 128GB. Would you think a Samsung of this range can compete with it?

Covers and ear phones are back, shall we celebrate?

One of the best phones you can ever use. I am so enjoying it. The speed RAM is fascinating. Picture quality ok, no hanging things. Prestigious too. Plz if you can afford it, go for it.

That’s the price of a brand new business laptop or second hand high end gaming one. I’ll rather buy a laptop with the cash then a used iPhone 6S with the remaining change.
