Im a male and this is what my hair currently looks like right now

I'm looking for how to make it soft and look healthy. The last time I applied anything to my hair whether moisturizer, shampoo etc was maybe a year ago. I don't know anything about hair maintenance so I don't know what to do to make it soft. But I also don't want to spend time stressing on my hair. I don't want to be having to touch up my hair everyday or with 3 different products. If applying just a conditioner or Shampoo can make my hair soft and look good or healthy that would be perfect if possible
