Hello Nairalanders, good afternoon.

My attention is particularly drawn to "SokoLoan" after I received at least a couple of calls from the said company saying someone got a loan from them and has refused to pay.

I did a random check up on Google and it seems they actually have a website, but the links to their social media pages from their website did not click through. Spotlight one.

I went on Facebook and searched "SokoLoan". Part of the feedback I got led me to "SokoLoan Nigeria".
[Link: web.facebook.com/sokoloannigeria] Eureka! Spotlight two.

I was in haste to see what their posts were like and the first post that greeted me was a "free N500 repayment coupon." This post is dated 25th November, 2020.

While I processed what a free loan coupon meant, I proceeded to other posts taking time to read comments and what I read was quite appalling. Maybe SokoLoan is more than just a loan company. And maybe it is just a loan company.

This is especially to whoever has any idea about this company. Have your say.

Tell whoever has gone to borrow money from them to pay up.
I don't know the company but I have heard that you will only have problem with them when you fail to pay after taking a loan from them.

If you don't want to do business with them, avoid them and don't borrow from them.

They sourced the money from their creditors too and pay back so if you take loan from them and don't pay, you are their enemy.

I don't have any business with them so they can not be calling me up to the point I will start searching for their details.

Go to CAC if you want to know about them. It is not compulsory companies have an online presence so not seeing them online does not make them illegitimate.
Whoever has collected loan from them should go and pay so others too can get loan to meet their urgent needs.

So based on what I've read it's the borrowers who are likely fraudsters.. Not wanting to pay up.. But Sokoloan goes very hard on such debtors.. To the extent of telling ur friends and office mgt that u are a fraudster and a thief if u don't pay them

A reasonable man will weigh the interest rate of this loan apps before collecting there money... Nigerians themselves have one dubious character of borrowing without having the plans to pay back

What exactly is the purpose of this post? To deride Sokoloan?

The company is in business to survive and they have a strategy that works for them and is effective against Nigerians who generally don't like repaying loans.

You got a call from them because the loan defaulter has your number stored on his phone. Advise him/her to pay up!

walahi that company will put ur name to shame even for as low as 2500 loan. It is run by chinese encouraging their staffs to disgrace u and call u a thief dubious existing criminal this and that. They tarnish image

I wonder how they expect a person to repay after disgracing u and making u loose more than that 2500 u got. An image is priceless and many ways to go about collecting the said loan back with the massive interest rate in just like 5days..Default 1day and hear weeeen

Some legal teams will soon face their matter
