3. The Government will provide everything the Cattle farmers need so they won't have cause to ever

4. In all likelihood, by any reasonable balance of probability, the majority [ if not 100% ] of the
occupants of that RUGA will be FULANIS. And we must remember that this RUGA are extremely large

That is the way it is painted but Nigerians are much wiser because we have spent the last 60 years
studying our leaders especially their propensity for insincerity and abandonment of projects!
The first thing that is a CERTAINTY is that the Government, somehow or any how, will derail from the original intensions of the project, assuming the intensions were even honest in the first place.
There are plenty basis for this cynism.
1. Somewhere between Ore and Benin, the Federal Government sited a "LEPERS COLONY" in an area off the Ore-Benin expressway where LEPERS were kept and being taken care of.
The idea was to reduce the risk of spreading the dreaded LEPROSY disease so they camped all patients/victims in that place.
I am not sure the Government sustained that project for up to 5 years. It became a common scene on that expressway to see the LEPERS trooping out in large numbers to line the dangerous expressroads as BEGGARS.
2. Somewhere in the town of ORU, near Ijebu-Ode, the same busy-body Federal Government sited what it called "REFUGEE CAMP" to assist the rescued citizens of Liberia during the civil wars in that country.
The Nigerian Government in less than a year abandoned them after a short while, obviously some people have just used the plan to sweep money from the budget.
Those guys quickly poured onto the streets, some had to take to crime, many became beggars and their women went into prostitution.
It was terrible for the Ijebu People of ORU.
Now, tell me, a Federal Government with this antecedents will now embark on a project of creating RUGA where Pastoralists will be encouraged and assisted to live in and NEVER TO LEAVE.
What will happen is very easy to predict:
1. The Fulanis would have been ASSIGNED LAND BY LAW, FREE OF CHARGE all over the 36 States of the country.
2..They will IMMEDIATELY POUR all the population of FULANIS they can find from all over the world into
those lands.
3. They will quickly install Serikis all over the 36 RUGA who will gradually build an Emirate.
4. The 36 RUGAs will have Military Garrisons for FULANI geurilla fighters.
5. The Government will make a show of the efficiency at the RUGA for one or two years and abandon them.
6. Gradually, the Government will certainly STOP supplying FREE FEEDS and WATER for their cows in
the RUGA.
7. As the Pastoralists DONT DESIRE or have any plans to spend a kobo on the animals in the course of their
business, the HERDSMEN WILL TAKE TO THE STREETS AGAIN!!!!
8. What it will then mean is that the HERDSMEN will HOLD THEIR LAWFUL RUGA and at same time will
resume the HARASSMENT OF FARMERS ON THEB OUTSIDE OF THE RUGA and this time, they are fully
fortified with more than adequate capacity for TERRORISM. They will knock every of their Neighbours to submission.
In due course, they will remember Uthman Dan Fodio's delayed agenda and there can't be a better time to resume than at a time when they have enough men, resources of 36 strong bases and a
Federal Security infrastructure that is most certianly under their control.
In all of their planning, the planners and their conspirators will assume that every other Nigerians are dumb and stupid like them.

Rural Grazing Areas (RUGA) are here to stay.

Nigerians say no to open grazing. With designated and regulated grazing territory, it would be easy to detect the killers masquerading as herdsmen to perpetrate their crimes, and herdsmen who claim to carry arms for protection against rustlers will no longer have any excuse and all herders must be fully disarmed.

The government is already dedicating billions to the project to build the highly equipped facilities for legitimate Fulani herdsmen to produce our meat and milk without trespassing, especially after recent events and the recommendation of the Governors Forum.

This is the surest way to deal with the issue of killer herdsmen and farmer/herder clashes across the country. RUGA is the way to go. No to open grazing.

Keep it up North ... We don't need savages at our backyard. When we need beef we order from your RUGAs up North or anywhere.
Your intention to sneak in Emirates down South via the backdoor RUGA is as clear as day and we down here will all die before you start.

But what is their problem?

Why can't the government return them to their region? Then make poultry farm product readily available for easier purchase and consumption....

No be everybody wan eat beef..... And chicken and turkey aren't foreign foods and should not be made expensive, so everyone can buy them to replace beef.

The 1969 Law on open GRAZING REMAINS INVIOLATE..

GRAZING, OPEN OR NOT, IS A PRIVATE ENTERPRISE. NIGERIANS DON'T VOTE BUHARI TO MAKE GRAZING OF WHATEVER TYPE A PUBLIC ENTERPRISE.

BUHARI IS JUST TAKING UNDUE ADVANTAGE OF HIMSELF BEING A FULANI HERDSMAN AND THAT IS HIGH LEVEL CRIMINAL SCAM.

Madam quotasystem, or what is that fucking name of yours

So after reading the intelligent script above, you still thought to continue with this mentality of yours,

You must be a terrorist

So we have millions of business personel across every sector of the economy, who toils to build their business to success, and even obtaining loan where possible, because they love their business.

So, we should now pamper a group of people, cause they are used to get everything for free, which was never even appreciated, we should also give them everything they need to sustain their business for free also, lol.

You cows are not yet serious, wherever that is done, lol.

Everyone should strive legitimately for the betterment of his welfare.

Herders are not lepers.

Starkly unserious mofos.

lol.

As if they will give us Beef for free. So we should give them free land so they can still sell beef to us, so what is our gain down south. Piggery, Poultry and other animal rearers down south too must be given free lands and loans to develop their business across the 36 states.

Like Remi Tinubu said "we no longer trust you Igbos Fulani again". Keep your RUGA in the North. Check my past post to see I once backed RUGA when I thought Buhari and his fellow Northern leaders were sincere and honorable people worth supporting for the sake of a better Nigeria. .

I am no conspiracy theorists but I have now seen enough incontrovertible evidence to show that your leaders all have expansionist and nefarious agendas that is to the detriment of the South.

Keep your RuGA in your 19 Northern States because it is not something you can now force on THE South under the pretext of "only peaceful solution to herdsmen and farmer conflict". It will be resisted vehemently and this will only cause more conflict and bad blood. Sambisa forest alone, with some modifications, can become an adequate major RUGA settlement.

We will not allow you turn RUGA into an NYSC type thing because your insistence on such an arrangement reveals your hidden agenda of assimilation Fulanis into the lives and culture of people across all Nigerian States. Fulanis don't need to graze their Cattle outside the North. There is no socio-economic or agricultural argument for it. Fullstop.

my dear, honestly speaking, we dont have land for the cattle ruga or whatever name they may call it. i for one am a pig farmer, i bought land, built the pens, stock it. No form of help from fg. If they want land they should go to sambisa forest which they said is larger than the whole of south to ruga it.

Are we still on this Ruga ish?

The north is funny. They have always bragged about their land mass, why can't they convert most to Ruga for the herders?

They have used land mass to get more states and allocation even when most are arid land.

Well, the time has come to put your massive lands to better use and save yourselves from futher endangering your species cos it will soon be shoot at sight for any fulani found in the bushes.

Op, whether government would later abandon them or not, once they multiply and become million strong, they will not only create Emirates, they will also demand for political inclusion in the day to day running of the host stares, using their numerical electoral strength as bargaining chip.

Otherwise, they will erect mosques and groom jihadist and still terrorize the people into submission.

Even a place like SW region with the most moslems outside the north won't be spared by the jihadist as they will impose full sharia and anyone who opposes or doesn't conform...

Correct. The reality is that the North, especially Fulani leaders, is desperate to use RUGA as an NYSC type orientation camp to aid assimiltion and integration of Fulanis across the more developed South. It must be resisted.
