Slynation Athletic Bilbao said I should greet you.

Arsenal wants to know how far. Since 2010, five different teams have won the EPL, while only three teams have managed to do same in Spain.

what do you guys even want self...Now any team can beat Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga and you all will rain insults on them, (Barca and Real) and when both teams are dominating, beating everybody and winning titles you say La Liga is a farmers league....

Quick Reminder: Your once EPL special, Bale was a massive flop in Real, while Hazard is currently a Scam, I don't even have words for Coutinho....abeg carry that over hyped league comot from my front jooor

And kindly note if those 3 teams are allowed to play in EPL, they will still take 1st to 3rd position grin argue with keyboard

It's shitty league ? Ode undecided

And yet Madrid won UCL 4 times in 5 years. And Barca was the one who won the 5th one.

Tell us when your "unshitty" league dominated UCL and even EUROPA in 5 straight years undecided

Bimbo.
You don't have to insult before making your point. Messi and Ronaldo would make any league or team thick. And as they've both passed their peak, it'll be tough for laliga to maintain such potency, especially with what covid has done to their finances.

There was a time when you would always have two to three EPL clubs in UCL semis. Then it used to be between EPL and the Italian league, before they also fell. Lyon was Madrid's nemesis then, and just a couple of years ago, we had EPL clubs in all UEFA club finals.

It's simply laliga's turn for another spell, until they are able to revive themselves.

Now that the EPL has become even more competitive, expect EPL clubs to take Europa league more seriously than they used to. It used to be stoke city, Fulham, Portsmouth etc some years ago, now you have Chelsea, united, Leicester, arsenal, Tottenham and co.

This is not what we as a nation need now...

What do we need?To keep talking about Fulani bandits/terrorists and their Russian made weapons?? undecided
Football,to some of us is not just a hobby. Its a release, its a personal utopia of sorts.Takes us away from all the bullshit, takes me away from the fact that terrorists have overidden the North, that they are making advances to the South or the fact that people with extremist and seperatist ideologies have taken over the East physically and mentally..Bros allow us talk about football in peace abeg..Outside this, its all sorrow, tears and blood.

Its a very shitty league...Tactically,right now,England is way ahead of them...I'm thinking that on a good night,Leicester City on their A-game would beat this current Barcelona or Real Madrid team..

I don't know what angle you are trying to view it, obviously from a one match wonder perspective, Bale didn't live up to expectations and is been regarded as Madrid flop...

Sevilla, Barcelona and Real Sociedad were thrashed this week in Europe and their devastating results have urged many to question the quality of LaLiga Santander this season.

World-class players such as Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland may be linked with Spanish clubs, yet their main issue is not the lack of talent, but the loss of a football identity.

LaLiga Santander powerhouses no longer dominate games and have failed this season to impose their game on their opponents in Europe.

The one-touch game has been lost and teams have been struggling when it comes to being lethal in front of goal in 2020/21.

In fact, as many as eight LaLiga Santander sides have fewer scored fewer goals than matches played this season, while in Serie A, only Parma have netted less than one goal per game (15 goals in 22 duels).

Spanish teams lack fluidity, produce fewer passes, create fewer chances and net fewer goals than the rest in Europe and this becomes evident when they are called to play in the Champions League or Europa League.

LaLiga Santander sides score in average a mere 2.52 goals per match, which is the lowest figure amongst the major five leagues.

Bundesliga tops the charts with 3.05 goals per game, followed by Serie A (three per match), Ligue 1 (2.73) and the Premier League (2.72).

From the 2013/14 campaign until 2017/2018, when Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla dominated in Europe, LaLiga Santander sides scored over 1,000 goals per season.

This figure has been dropping since, while this year it is estimated that they will reach 958 goals.

No league registers fewer shots, assists, dribble attempts, counterattacks and passes than LaLiga Santander, which comes second in game interruptions, with almost 27 fouls per game.

Less money, fewer signings and talent drain

LaLiga Santander is the league whose teams have spent less than all the rest of the major five after the COVID-19 outbreak.

In addition to the lack of imported talent, homegrown players have left the country to ply their trade to other leagues in Europe.

David De Gea, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Sergio Reguilon, Rodri Hernandez, Thiago Alcantara, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz, Ferran Torres and Alvaro Morata are just some of the Spain internationals who no longer feature for a Spanish club.

To put it in context, from the 23 players called up by Luis Aragones for the 2008 European Championships, only four played abroad: Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas and Pepe Reina.

Meanwhile, only three players of the team who won the 2010 World Cup played elsewhere in Europe: Torres, Fabregas and Reina.

Two years later, Spain dominated the 2012 European Championships with Torres, Juan Mata, Savid Silva and Reina being the only members of the squad who didn't feature in LaLiga Santander.

This season, all three top Spanish scorers in the Champions League - Morata, Ferran Torres and Angelino - play abroad.

Barcelona and Real Sociedad will not have an easy task in their attempt to turn around their ties against Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United respectively.

Meanwhile, Mbappe and Haaland could feature as main transfer targets for Spanish football powerhouses, but the issues of LaLiga Santander seem to go deeper than the lack of superstars.

now I get your point you are more interested on the person that did the scoring after the work has been done am talking complete football
I’m so sorry to argue football with you. You don’t meet up.
What was used in rating Pele as the greatest footballer if not the number of goals he scored, along with the 3world cups he won anyway.
If not recently, assists aren’t so heavily taken in football stats as it is today. The reason you would never hear about the assists made by Pele, Garrincha, Josef Bican, Romario et al. All these to pad Messi up

most of the great guys I mentioned are not always on the 6yard box waiting to score goal.Ronaldo is a great guy in this era after messi but can't go near those guys I mentioned up there all of them are world cup winners expect maybe figo.
So Ronaldo started and played many of his matches as pointman?
Ronaldo started football with the same role as Figo and improved his football. Don’t argue based on ignorance.
And Messi also won the World Cup to be rated among those guys?

You must be one of those guys always shouting “up blus”

look football is not all about scoring goal if it all about scoring goal every play we just go to the 6 yard box.like I told you go and watch the best of ronaldiho, zidane, delima, rivaldo, figo.Ronaldo is a great play in his era but not to be compared with those men.in the era of zidane them we have many world class talents unlike now we have only rolnaldo messi neymar and just more 4 players.
These are all players I watched in their prime.
During their prime and time of play, how many football records did they break?
How many football record did they set?

Don’t let your judgement be affected by “nostalgic syndrome”. They were all good in their time and not extraordinary like Pele, Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo in their times. If we do not have Ronaldo and Messi playing extraordinarily, Xavi, Iniesta, Bale Neymar, Ibrahimovic, Modric et al will hold the ace like the Figo, Zidane, Delima, Ronaldinho of those days

ok hit me back when Ronaldo the all time goal scorer wins a world cup or even play in the finals. football analyst someone go just they one side they type nonsenses.if all the goals can't land him a world cup which is played every 4 years in all his record breaking he doesn't come near all those great players I mention. I didnt say his not a great player he is good but not as you position him above men that won the world cup.messi is above him at least he played in the final.beside Josef Bican scored more goals than Pele but Pele was rated more because of his world cup.so till your Ronaldo wins a world cup dont ever bring him close those great players I mentioned above with this your analysis. or even played in the final

Spanish league is the new farmer's league. A league where Madrid and Barca tv right alone is far higher than that of the other teams combined. Italian league is the number one currently in terms of entertainment and brand of football.

you are not serious what's the yard stick then you think if messi have won the world cup the debate of him over Pele and maradona will ever hold water.football is not all about goal scoring what about the other players in the pitch that are not strikers. Next time dont ever rate Ronaldo above players that can create chances and score and not only win trophies but also won the world cup.what do you even know about football to be rating rolnado above zidane, ronaldinho, delima rivaldo kaka them and many more of those great men of talent and skills with world cup to crown their glory.until rolnado wins a world cup his below those classes of players.Ronaldo is a great player but not above those men his even below messi.Josef Bican | 805 goals with all his goal why didn't they rate him above Pele. next time when you want to rate ronaldo rate him as the best player within the 6 yard box. football analysis football no they sweet again with una kind of fans.

Just cos messi got to final, u want to use final as an achievement....nonsense, always forcing unnecessary records to pad messi ... winning ur continental title is a million times better than a loosing world cup finalist... winning a league title is a bigger achievement than getting to the world cup final...so till messi wins the copa America, dont ever bring him close to Ronaldo's level

The quality of the La Liga has been declining over the years and when we call them 2 team league, their fan boys will think we're just hating.

Since they've hinged the success of the league on just Barcelona and Real Madrid then it's bound to happen that when these 2 teams decline, the league will decline also.

Finally when Messi leaves at the end of the season, La Liga will be finally dead until they step up
