Is Hellfire Real? What I Discovered!!! by ogtechinc(m): 8:00am On Feb 21, 2021
I did some research and was amazed with what I discovered.

I have heard from friends, family and men of God that Hellfire is an Eternal Place of Torment for the Wicked (Evil People) and the Home of the Devil and his agents. I am not alone in this, most of us here also share this belief.

However, I came across 3 scriptures that contradicts this belief and teaching:

1. Matthew 25:31-33, 46 (Read).
My Discovery - On his Judgement Throne, Jesus will separate the Sheep from the Goat. The Sheep will be rewarded with Eternal Life while the Goat will have Everlasting Punishment.
Is this Everlasting Punishment equal to Hellfire? What does Everlasting Punishment mean? The next discovery provided clues to the answer.

2. Jeremiah 7:31 says: Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart (King James Version)
My Discovery - God was angry with the Nation of Israel burning their children in the fire. He said he never commanded anyone to do so and it has never come to his heart to do so.
Really? If God has never thought of burning people (the goatlike ones) with Fire as everlasting punishment, then how is Hellfire associated with God? Will God deceive us? Never! How else could this scripture be understood? This scripture provided the key to my 3rd discovery and a better understanding to this subject.

3. Revelation 20:12-15 (Read).
My Discovery - If Death and Hell and all those whose names are not written in the book of life are cast into the Lake of Fire, then the Lake of Fire must be symbolic. Verse 14 says, the Lake of Fire MEANS the Second Death.

Death is the direct opposite of Life. I would then say that, the Sheep will enjoy everlasting life while the Goat will be destroyed forever - Psalms 37:9-10, 34.

The floor is now open for sound scriptural deliberation. Quote or refer to the scriptures, please.

The realness of Hell fire cannot be overemphasized.

Matthew 13:41-42 (KJV)

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

God bless.

Is everlasting punishment not the same as the "Lake of Fire" not (hellfire)?

Is "Tophet" not the activity of the people in Israel while Lake of Fire is an Action yet to be Executed by The Lord? (That is a Future Action)

Therefore, they are not related.

First death, is the death you die now that you live, where when you die, you will go and live inside "Death" like a Prisoner, whom shall later deliver you to The Most High and Holy Court for Final Judgement (on the day of your case) to determine whether you are Acquitted and given Eternal Sweet Living or Condemned and given Eternal Painful living in Lake of Fire which shall be another (2nd) death unto you. Simple!

Hell fire is figurative language.

What is real is death.

Revelation says whosever name was not written in the book of life was cast into the Lake of fire which is the second death.

So hell fire is death in the real sense

God is HOLY (pure at heart) so he created us for his glory and the only thing that can glorify his name is the wellness, peace and security of his creation.
Whatever will stand on the way for this not to be achieved is better not to have existed in the first place so Satan and his demons will surely return to non-existence it's just a pity that most humans will join them in that condition of everlasting cutoff. But the idea that God's creation will experience excruciating torment while still alive is a defamation of God's predominant attribute "LOVE" 1John 4:8

There's absolutely nothing that brings him glory when his creation suffers, meanwhile immortality is a gift for the righteous and not the wicked! smiley

Revelations is full of symbolic terms but it's not independent of the beginning where God told the first man "you either live (continue existing) or die (return to non-existence)" Genesis 2:17; 3:19

Apart from Life God has nothing in stock for the dead except a resurrection back to life! Ecclesiastes 9:10 smiley

There are two many conflicts between the jewish bible(OT) and the christian one(NT). We must understand that the jews wrote their scriptures long before the romans dreamed of christianity. The jews have a national religion called judaism. Their beliefs are contained in the Tanakh. It is the romans who came later and stole the jews idea of a messiah to create the jesus character.

They make him some sort of a deity and saviour, so there also created hell(jesus must be saving you from something) so they created jesus to save you from an imaginary hell.
What was the jews idea of death. They see it as sleep.in Nathan prophesy it says of David "when you fall asleep with your ancestors.....They are not so much fixated on death like the christians do. They are how ever more concern with life and why gave man the torah to guide man in this life..at death, the spirit returns to God and the body back to earth. If God is sending his spirit to hell yo born forever thats his business, its him who will suffer it..
We should not concern ourselves with what happens after death, but life....
