Hello NL Fam, the below message was written by my uncle and I have the privilege to share it with you all. It is very important you make your plans very well as your even young or getting old. I have visited some nursing homes both here in the US and Canada and in there I can differentiate the man/woman who played his/her card well. Some parents are been abandoned there by their children. The only thing that they are after is their death benefit n the will to be read.

Brethrens,

I will like to say one or two things about this important subject in either staying in America, or going back to Africa after mid-age. There are some important factors to be considered in your decision making process. First is the plan to settle in America after 50, and the other is the plan to retire in Africa after 60.

RETIRING IN AMERICA AFTER 50 GAME PLAN

1. Is your house paid for?
2. Have you paid enough into the system to assure a somewhat decent retirement monthly checks?
3. How am I going to age (very unpredictable question)? Either a very sick old person or normal aging person.
4. Are my bills all paid for?
5. Is my spouse going to continue sticking by me no matter what?
6. Will my child / children remember all the made sacrifices, and good times?
7. If I should end up in a nursing home, do I have the savings to afford the cost?
8. When in the nursing home; did I prepare myself enough (Americanized enough) to socialize with other old folks in the facility?
9. Shall I be getting enough visitation from my friends and family?
10. Shall someone be coming once a while to drive me places?

The above ten essential points, and some other personal important points must be considered in your retiring in America decision processes.

RETIRING IN AFRICA UP TO 60 GAME PLAN

1. Have I built my retirement home?
2. Did I make some kind of security arrangements?
3. How will you respond to medical emergencies?
4. How will you continue to earn money while over there?
5. How strong is your family support system?
6. Do you have good and honest friends?
7. Who will be taking care of me when that need calls?
8. Have you made plans to continue visiting the USA for many reasons?
9. Shall someone be coming once a while to drive me places?
10. Have you mark your calendar for the yearly April Ikeji festival in ARO-NDIZUOGU?

The above ten essential points, and some other personal important points must be considered in your retiring in Africa decision processes.

*No matter which way you decide, just bear in mind that it is not a joke; so lets start talking to one another for more good ideas.
