The House of Representatives is explaining that the bill to remove the minimum wage negotiation on the concurrent list was aimed at making states viable and competitive to deliver on programs and policies that are essential to their people.

The spokesperson of the house of Representatives and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Ben Kalu in a reaction to the outrage that has greeted the bill told FLO 94.9FM during his radio weekly engagement program with his constituent that it was intended to allow states to function optimally according to resources available to them.

He argued that the bill was part of the financial restructuring of the country that would allow states to also develop in their areas of competitive advantage.
