Seriously, Africa needs to let go some outdated cultural practices due to great setbacks they caused on the continent

Many Advanced Civilization today, had many occurrences of barbarism, its is not restricted to people who rear cattle's.

Just Look at Germany, you wont believe that not so long ago what Hitler driven Germany did, or the great loss of lives in Russia.

Another good example is Japan, USA, and China, modernity does not make one less barbaric.

If barbarism is nurtured or perhaps generically favored, modernity does not lessen its effects.

The Abyssinians (habesha) themselves were doing the slave raiding, not arabs. They sold both black and mullatto slaves to the arabs. The Habesha slaves were used for domestic/sex work while the black slaves were worked to death and rarely exported because of their low monetary value. Funny enough, Ethiopia is still exporting sex and domestic workers to the middle east.
