Its a mud catfish. It has scales n very tasty. Sweeter than normal catfish

I was walking around my compound yesterday, and I saw a fish jumped out of the marsh to a drier side of the compound. It was struggling to swim back into the marsh, but I caught it with a basket.

What is the name of this fish?

I expected someone from a Water area to know this.
That is a snake head.
They vary in size depending on the species.
Very ferocious predators of other fish species.

The snakeheads are members of the freshwater perciform fish family Channidae, native to parts of Africa and Asia.

Back in those days when I used to fish, I ate too many of them. It's not catfish. It is in two variants. We call it Okodo and the other type Korowo.
The Okodo used to be thick and short. Korowo used to be thin but long. I love it more than catfish.

It's difficult to raise..
It can perfectly be raise inside pot of Banga soup.. It's d last to catch in ponds in those days. Always hiding under woods in d pond ..
