There's this swampy area in my neighborhood we call Eyin Ala. Being a government restricted area, this place is still undeveloped. They said it's a proposed site for a market by government. So an idea came up recently during the recent scarcity of beef. Last week I went there with some guys to explore the area and this week we were back with boys. This massive catch is only from a very small portion of this area o. Imagine what still lies ahead. We plan to meet again next Tuesday for another round of catch. 1 Like

there's no fish pond around here, but big canal is nearby. this place itself is like a pond, by the time rain starts fully now, no one dare goes there again because of massive water. 1 Like |

Maxymilliano: I believe people might have used the place for pond in the past, but not again. When we first went there last week to explore the area, almost everywhere has dried but there were still some shallow areas that are covered with grasses and have water under. We could only work on just two of such shallow areas as it took the young boys almost 6 hours to remove the grass and drain the water. Then we started handpicking the fish in the mud, some use nets, some use crane baskets. 2 Likes |

pocohantas:those fish were not caught all at once like that; most of them were handpicked in the mud. that picture was taken at the end of the catch when we gathered all of them in one place for sharing. 3 Likes |
