so here's my story, my dad abritish african kenyan by birth, my mom half nigerian half european, i've never lived in africa, i love both nigeria and kenya the same level, but whenever i tell my friends in amrica or in europe that am from nigeria, they kinda snob me or act like it's so bad and i dont feel welcome, whenever i say am from kenya, i get this warm welcome and friendliness from people, they even tell me how they've been to kenya and how much they'd wish to live over there permanently, i love nigerians and kenyans equally, but this is making me start to think that maybe i should just say am kenayn to avoid any negativity, i have had friends from westafrica here in USA who came to US using akenyan passport coz it's easy to acquire visa from kenya, also i did research and it shows that kenya ranks # 1 in students visa holders since the last ten years, is there some kinda favourism towards kenyan among other african countries or wut, another study done by anigerian proffesor shows that 1 out 5 african students in the USA is kenyan, now that's ahigh percentage considering the size of africa, now, my brothers, this is avery mature and serious concern and maybe some of you would help me decipher this, if i knew any kenyan website i would post the same topic, maybe as africans we can learn from each other rather than looking at our countries individualies, peace, wish you all good health.

I don't know which oyinbos you are speaking too but they normally love naija people.  even with all the yahoo yahoo boys nonsens going on, whenever  they find out we are naijas they don't treat us differently.  My response has been they want to talk about naija, especially lagos.  So no i havent seen favortism towards kenyans.

My opinion is that there is no favoritism, we have to surmount the same obstacles and challenges any black African is faced with in this world.

We should instead unite in improving this great continent of ours so that our future generations don't contend with the struggles, humiliation and prejudice that we Africans in the Diaspora are undergoing.

why should we care how westerners think of us. it is more important for africans to care how they perceive themselves.

Hope you dont take this the wrong way I think its because East Africans are more pliable easier to handle and without holding brief for the yahoo boys it rankles Europeans to fall victim to black people

Kenya conforms more to the western impression of Africa - zebras, elephants, safari, masai tribesmen, and happy smiley natives.

Nigeria on the other hand exhibits a somewhat more commercial, irreverent identity, and this tends to disorientate many westerners.

And as we all know, what they don't understand they tend to dislike.

The east and southern part of africa are very much use to white man's control and manipulations,due to the later's long time control over them which still exist till date,all the safaris and big businesses in east and southern africa are own and control by what they call white settlers with the collaboration of puppet politicians.The reason why mugabe is under fire now is because he rebeled. The kenyans i have met here in england mostly never seems to find anything wrong with white people,they just think it is normal to take bullshit.
