My Astrazeneca Covid-19 Vaccine Experience by Oriyomin25(m): 10:34am On Mar 21, 2021
I serve (Natonal Youth Service Corps) in a Army Barrack and yesterday we were informed by one of our colleagues who is also a corp member working at the medical center that we should follow a link that was later shared to our Whatsapp group to register for the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.

I couldn't get the registration done on my phone after about 30mins so I quit, I asked some of my colleagues if they were able to register and they all told me the same thing, they couldn't register, the site bounced back whenever we try to submit the information provided.

So later yesterday they called us (Officers, Soldiers, Corpers and other barracks occupants as long as you are 18 years above) to come to a particular place (MESS) in the barracks to come for the Covid-19 but I was not chanced so I couldn't go, I learnt from one of our colleagues that the vaccination is for 10 days but they will spend two days vaccinating the barracks community. So today I went there with some of us that couldn't go yesterday. Lest I forget there was a short awareness lecture given by the nurses yesterday before they started the vaccination.

So when we got to the MESS around 10am today there was a queue of about 15 to 17 people I can't confirm the figure, they have started since 9am. we left the place at exactly 9mins to 4pm, the procedure was very slow.

This is how the whole thing went, we stayed on the queue then when it's your turn you will provide your information such as Age, Occupation, Means of Identification, the date on whatever certificate you have, Bsc, Diploma, Waec or Primary school cert (Well I just told them the day I graduated because I have forgotten the date on my certificate), mobile number, E-mail and so on. So after this they will open the site (The same site we struggled to register on) and document the information we provided.

After which you will then proceed to taking the shot. The vaccination is through the arm, not painful but you may find it painful if you are not the injection type, LOL. We were given a green card where our name was written boldly at the top, our mobile number and the date the vaccination take place, then the date on which you will take the second dose, I got to know the vaccine is a two dose vaccine today. So the second dose is June, exactly three month from the day you take the first dose.

Below is the green card.

I'm not and I won't hide anything, it has side effects and I think it varies for everyone. After we took it yesterday some of us complained of headache, arm hurts and you feel weak inside. I didn't feel anything yesterday actually, I still do some chores and went to watch match. I slept late but before I could sleep around 12am I was feeling pains generally in my body and a bit of headache. I didn't count it as anything Sha because I knew I stressed myself too much yesterday, so I woke up in the middle of the night to take a pee and I was feeling feverish, like I just weak. I was not scared of anything because I still feel it is part of the effects.. So this morning I woke up Hale and healthy grin grin.. On a serious note I am very much better now.

and about the body pains this morning some of us complained of the same pain but we are bouncing now, in fact we just finished playing football and back to the lodge now

It's the same I think, I saw the vaccine container and these same vaccine was the same given to a whole brigadier general, colonel and rest of the ogas in the barracks so I believe it's safe. the one we took yesterday is the first dose and expires on the date on that green card I posted, and we are to collect the second dose on the date specified on the card, that is by June. then that's it.

The truth is that most Nigerians are ignorant and are not ready to gain knowledge. They're gullible too especially when it comes to religious beliefs. They'd have been brainwashed by their religious leaders. Unfortunately for them the leaders will take the vaccine in secret and come out to bad-mouth it in public just to exploit their "sheep's" during "fellowsheep".

Imagine people saying Covid is from the devil. Different conspiracy theories. Indeed Africans are easier to manipulate in all areas and this is due to lack of exposure and information. Even the Westerners that brought religion to this country are not even against taking the vaccine.

I don't pity any gullible individual that dies of Covid due to the individual's unacceptance of the vaccine!.

Stupid "sheeps"

All I see in your post are a host of assumptions that do not have one single trace of fact attached. Even if the "ogas" were taking it, what gives you that assurance you are given the same one...? Or do you just rely blindly on the assumption that you were given the same thing as they were...? The sooner you start asking questions, the better. Because from research it has been confirmed that vaccines take 5years to develop. The reason why a minimum of 5 years is needed is because of side effects. undecided

I am disgracing you who supports ignorance. There is a saying " knowledge is power ". Now kindly share your knowledge on this vaccine and tell us its side effects after 5 years (since that is the minimum amount of time needed for the validation of vaccines). Lol. Bro I'm not surprised by that because Nigerians are known to be skeptical about things like that. Africans don't accept anything related to health easily but if it were to be Pizza or Gucci wears they'd rush to it and even cause stampede.

Ignorance can't be cured unless you want to cure yourself of it. Sad thing is don't don't hesitate to show their ignorance. grin

Wow!!! So the vaccine expires! What will you now do when the second jab also expires...or is there something about this you are not fully aware of. When will the vaccine help you generate antibodies to combat COVID abi you go dey take vaccine for the rest of your life? Where are the doctors sef.
Re: My Astrazeneca Covid-19 Vaccine Experience by efficiencie(m): 3:04pm On Mar 21, 2021
Many are just hurling insults without actually engaging in a constructive discussion. Many have died after taking this vaccine. Some countries in Europe have stopped administering the AstraZeneca vaccine. See the example of Italy.
Source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx_JrZcaPVU

It is only fair to ask for the scientists who designed these vaccines to release full information on the contraindications of the vaccine and its side effects. It is also necessary to investigate why some react adversely to the vaccine and die afterwards. These incidents will diminish the trust in the vaccine because no one knows his or her current state of wellbeing enough to tell if he or she will react adversely to the vaccine. Some say less than 0.0001% of those who took the vaccines died afterwards but I am very sure that no one, not even those insulting others so flagrantly, would like to have their father, mother, wife, children, relatives or friends to belong to that tiny 0.0001%...

No one would like to tolerate the smallest chance of being a statistic. Hence the paranoia has a valid basis. It has been in the news that drugs like Ivermectin have been used successfully for treating COVID and can also be used for prophylaxis but some countries promoting the vaccine and downplaying the data from the RCTs conducted to test the efficacy of the drug...
(Source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28YV8TfTieE ) this also raises the scepticism surrounding the vaccine. If our international health institutions are really about saving lives they would have looked at the data from the Ivermectin RCTs but instead the vaccine is pushed religiously.

There are news of Pfizer making ridiculous demands in exchange for vaccines and this also raises the scepticism surrounding the vaccines...
Source:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zoSSHx9QtA

People are paranoid for a very valid reason. If this was just about a disease and a vaccine there wouldn't be so much push back...but from all indications this is also about politics, money, international diplomacy and a lot of conspiracy.

@MufasaLion you are here insulting everyone's opinion according to you Africans are ignorant. It is that stereotype opinion that makes me wonder if you are referring to yourself especially since you are African unless you can prove you're from Mars. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Everyone is entitled to their fears. It means they want to know more. We don't have nine lives, so it's reasonable to fear especially when people have died from this experiment.

Not everyone is afraid because of beliefs. Have you heard of biological warefare? Apparently WHO scientists were able to proof that COVID did not come from the fish market as earlier claimed. Now they were refused from getting further information during their investigation as China blocked access to data. Why would China hide the virus? How did COVID spread? Is it a coincidence that the virus happened to leak from China's only virology laboratory in Wuhan?

Why was the vaccine rushed, why didn't they allow enough time for human trials? Why are the adverse effects and death underreported?

Anyway, you can keep on with your myopic thinking of discrediting your race. Africans are the leading scientists, inventors and the most intelligent race around the world. You should start looking beyond the petty religious crisis that is pulling us back because your stereotype thinking makes you no better than the ignorant Africans you are against.
