Why do some people in every other Igbo tribe have some sort of dislikes (hate) for Imo people?

I'm sorry to ask, but then, knowledge they say is power. And I really want to know. I wonder why people choose sides when it comes to ethnicity, when clearly, the only rule that needs to supercede is the ultimate rule of HUMANITY. Seeing the best in every individual regardless their tribal, and/or racial differences.

I've heard people say a whole lot when it comes to how they view people from Imo state and it is really heartbreaking, because for a person to live with that kinda hate and disgust and actually drink and eat to it, is something I can't comprehend.
Where una dey see the power and might to hate. Hate is a big burden that destroys life, dream and progress.

Back to my question, I'd like to know your personal experience as to why you hate a particular igbo tribe (if you do). When you are in fact, Igbo too.

Like, what really happened? Has any offence on earth ever been recorded as unforgivable? given the change of time, chance and generations.

I've gotten a few reasons, but then, most are what could happen to any other human anywhere in the world and most could be forgiven.

Don't forget evil has no tribe, race or nationality.

(Let me not even go to why other tribes hate the igbos first )

A superiority complex? The eastern uberman? Even that is easy to figure out by outsiders. Personally I think their drive to achieve things is quite high and easily leads to envy etc. But I'll rather take an enligthened imo person that has traveled around than those that never left their region. Even with that there is no middle ground with imo people, they are either the best or the worst. Avoid the latter at all cost. They are insufferable. Call me whatever you like.

Hello! I am not Igbo; sorry! I never knew Igbos generally hate on a particular group among them. Hearing it for the first time. I am from Southern Kaduna. We have roughly 43 different ethnic groups here that speak about 65 different dialects. We don't "hate" on each other. But, of course, we usually get into some forms of disagreements. Especially when it involves our various and different cultural practices. This mostly only come into play when there is an inter-ethnic wedding. Generally, getting married in Southern Kaduna is comparatively cheaper than in other places. But there are specific groups here that are notorious for their excesses. And because of that it is normal to hear stuff like "please, avoid so-and-so group" or "so-and-so 'tribe' is a greedy tribe", etc. We don't confuse such sentiments with "hate". All I am saying is: concluding that 'every' other people "hate" the Igbos is just plain paranoid. Even the Yorubas and Hausas make that absurd claim sometimes. But what do I know? I am just a kid

Your signature says a whole lot about you and your personality. You aren't far from the truth but then, it is that overzealous nature of others that breed such emotion. Sometimes when you hear the absurd things we say about ourselves, then hear what people say about us, you'd be like, really? Is this really worth it?

For us that still believes in humanity, may God keep granting us the grace and strength to continue.
