Good morning nairalanders. Please I opened this thread with the intention of getting information about Benin Republic IDP where some of our compatriots from the south west are currently seeking refuge. I have been reading news about how they were displaced by rampaging herdsmen and how the governor of the most affected state Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has been playing politics with people's lives. Just yesterday we read on the news how the national leader of the ruling party APC and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu donated fifty million naira to the victims of Katsina market fire without donating anything to his tribesmen in Benin Republic IDP. my heart bleds and I couldn't eat nor sleep last night. I wonder how some people can be so insensitive to the plights of their kinsmen. I'm not against Tinubu and others donating to anyone or people they deemed fit but Charity they say begins at home and Tinubu as an elder statesman should have known this. After serious consultation with my family and friends I and some of my friends have decided to do something about it. we have bought bags of rice and beans. some tubers of yams. cartons of biscuits. cartons of noodles and toiletries. we want to donate all this to our fellow country men in Benin Republic IDP even though it might not be enough but I believe it will go a long way in ameliorating their plight. the problem now is that we don't know the location and direction to the Benin Republic IDP hence the reason why I opened this thread to seek for directions and contacts. please anyone who knows the address is free to post it here or you can send it to my email address. I need a mature response devoid of ethnic bashing and bigotry. anyone is free to donate or join I and my friends when we will be visiting the IDP. Let's help out please. the mods can move this to front page so that people might help.

I'm already there and what I saw was horrible. many of your kinsmen are at the point of death due to excessive hunger. they told me that it is only cabin biscuits that they have been eating since while Bobo Chicago is busy donating millions to the same Fulanis that chased them out of their land. I wept. I promise them that more Igbos will come to their rescue and majority of them started denouncing their tribe and accepting Igbo names as their new names. they begged me to take them along when going to the east but I'm still considering if they will not betray me at the end as usual

Btw, hope you are extending this good gesture to Ebonyi people... With Corona, Herdsmen killing, Communal clash, NURTW clash, the state has seen so many bad things this year alone.
