I have defended Oyedepo...now time for blasting away The House Oyedepo hjas built has become a house that is bigger than Jesus himself. The thing about christianity...Jesus called us to be fishers of men, not to build huge beautiful buildings and large organisations. High time we focused more on Jesus. 2 Likes |

lilvicky68: Democracy is hard work. It was never meant to be easy. The nice countries you folk want to run to were built by people who did the hard work of democracy. Many of who never lived long enough to see the fruits of their labour. But here in Nigeria...we somehow expect our polticians to be Big Good, and Big evil all at once.We also want what took years to get in seconds. |

Subsidybad21: A Nigerian's income does not need to be up to one thrid of Canada's for a Nigerian to live comfortably... some parts of Nigeria like parts of abuja, lagos, enugu e.t.c have similar infrastructure with developed countries and Nigerians are according to you "living a Canadian lifestyle" in those areas and they don't earn an income up to one thrid of Canada's... who you vote in Nigeria is almost irrelevant, right from the time of zik its been the same circus of s:ecessionist agitations, corruptions e.t.c. |

WELL YOUR EXPLANATION IS INSIGHTFUL & I AM SATISFIED WITH YOUR RESPONSE, everyone is entitle to invest their money on what they want. BUT PLS I WANT U TO AGREE WITH ME, THAT TODAY CHURCHES ARE SERIOUS BUSINES & PASTORS ARE BIG TIME ENTERPRENUS & AS SUCH THEY SHOULD START PAYING TAXES. [quote author=HigherEd post=100207508] No one creates a company to reduce unemployment. No one... The purpose of a company isn't to generate jobs but to solve a problem and pay the owners. Companies only recruit people in the journey to fulfill that purpose. So employment is merely a byproduct of individual or corporate vision. That is why, when a company is distressed it sacks workers to save itself. Oyedepo is a pastor who has a vision. He can only create employment in line with his vision. Anything else would be lack of focus and direction. He has spent thousands of hours studying on how to become an 'A' pastor not an 'A' entrepreneur. It's like saying dangote should challenge Microsoft because he has money. 1 Like |

Felabrity: The church is not built by the government. The government has all the resources to build these things and much more; and profit from it as well. Would it make any sense to condemn a proprietress of a school for building a bigger school to accommodate more students as her school grows? Is it logical to ask the proprietress to build roads to limit accidents and fix power in neighboring villages to give light to the people? No matter how noble certain causes are, logic is also very important! But then, be true to yourself, If he had built stadium and industries and requested for money from people who access the stadium, or recruit only his church members and other christians in his industries, wouldn't you condemn him? I am morethan 60% certain that you would! It appears logical to condemn these people, but there actually another reason hidden very deep inside of us, that we will never agree to, which makes us go against them, no matter what they do. You didn't mention school as a viable option here because you know he already invested heavily in that. You also didn't mention Agriculture because you are probably aware of his outstanding feat in those areas, what about Real Estate? Hospitals? Did you know that more than 85% of Bishop Oyedepo and Winners' chapel projects are handled by locals? What do you really want from this man? You know the answer?... "They hate me without a cause".. David Oyedepo is of Christ. His actions reveal to us our shortcomings and limitations which we are not ready to live above. We have succumbed to those frailties and many have yielded to that "white painted, angel-like demon - the devil" without even knowing it. 4 Likes |

codemaniacs: That comes under the platform of income inequity, a common issue in many developed and developing country. But if we want a better life, we must industrialize, and also pay the taxes needed to provide that life, and also do the hard work of holding the political class responsible at all levels. who you vote in Nigeria is almost irrelevant, right from the time of zik its been the same circus of s:ecessionist agitations, corruptions e.t.c. That's because most Nigerians are waiting for a hero, not a leader. A hero who will do the heavy lifting for us, while we sleep on beds of gold and silver and drink milk and honey from golden cups..... Meanwhile developed countries work in part because people have made holding their leaders to account a national hobby. And yes, those leaders used to be too harsh to them even in recent times Here in Nigeria, we just want someone to come and save us from all our troubles. We want a leader who somehow can also hold himself accountable without us having to lift a finger.. 1 Like |

Biggest church in the country with one of the highest crime rate, poverty rate, tribalism rate, wickedness rate,of what use is the magnificence of the church when most Christians in Nigeria are worse than atheists? Same funds could have been used to build educational facilities, health facilities and vocational facilities that will enhance good living and the life of many citizens in the country but many fools will quote me like I am a fool 3 Likes |

between 2007-2010 can't specifically remember. the then minister of Abuja told pastors that AbujavNational stadium won't be given out for crusades or any such activities. The pastor with the biggest church in Abuja replied then and said,we will big what is bigger here in Abuja .. |

HigherEd: You don't need to have in-depth knowledge of how something works before you can venture into it. All you need is just the blueprint. Get the people with the know how and leave the work for them. The prince of UAE wanted to convert Dubai into a first rate mega city. He needed not to study town planning or estate management to make that happen. All he did was get a team of people with the know how and let them do their thing. As much as you see it, to me, building this Ark will only triple the problem people are facing. God who gave us brain is not stupid. Africans need a thorough reorientation to understand that all this praying, speaking in tongues, binding and casting, etc doesn't solve anything. The advancement of the world was made possible because the whites utilize their thinking faculties; that is something that will make God proud in heaven, seeing what his children are doing. Not this garbage holima sunda bra ku shuka rabata rabato sunde rababab kata sherima – blah blah blah Africans should stop bothering God to help them. It is just like telling me to catch a fish for you when I have already taken you to the river, have taught you how to fish, have giving you fishing nets. I mean what do they want God to do? Send manner from heaven? C'mon! 1 Like |

Pastor Chris already announced that rapture will happen in less than 10 years, so why are they wasting time and money building all these? Shouldn't they be preparing to go their mansion in heaven? Guy man talk say world go soon end anytime soon, but guy man dey make plans for ihn future and children's future. Who dey deceive who? |
