Africa’s foremost children’s fashion and retail entrepreneur, Adenike Ogunlesi, had an interview with Diamond Woman (Women of Vision), an online platform which supports and empowers women in their sphere of influence.

Speaking in the interview, Adenike Ogunlesi explains what success means to her as well as the role of women in the society. As an entrepreneur with great vision and determination, Adenike has built a reputation for being the best manufacturer of children’s clothing with a network of stores nationwide.

Adenike Ogunlesi is the founder and Chief Responsibility Officer of Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, the foremost indigenous lifestyle brand operating to international standards in the design, manufacturing and retail of children clothing. She is married to Adegbola Ogunlesi, and they are blessed with three children.

“I think I am mature enough to believe that I have earned the right, quite a number of things to make me sparkle. My number one thing will definitely be my family, then, triumphs at work makes me sparkle when I make a difference in somebody’s life. When I achieve a set goal, it makes me sparkle,” Adenike Ogunlesi said.

While speaking on the responsibilities of women in the society, Ms Ogunlesi said women need to be supported if they are going to be working. “There needs to be a deliberate policy that supports working mothers, there needs to be a deliberate policy that helps a woman who chooses to run a business.”
