Now that HE Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is on the way to victory for his own substantive presidency, can we come up with an agenda of expectations for him?

All we need is just Electricity.

We shall all live to remember him if he can fix it.

This response is sad . . so you will allow the president spend Billions of dollars each year for free, all he needs to give you is electricty, nothing else?

WOW . . . We are so different from those in the civilized world where things make more sense!! shocked

Why shouldn't kobo ask questions? Governance is a serious business and the full weight of the responsibility must be borne by the new president.

For Nigeria to be on the path to development, the transformation (I pray this happens) of the country must go beyond provision of electricity and touch the whole gamut of our infrastructure (transportation - road, rail and air-, health, education, etc). Reform the police and revamp agriculture. Revisit fiscal federalism and FIGHT corruption to a standstill!

I pray that he has the guts to tackle the rot in the system which is threatening to engulf the country itself.
Re: What Is Your Expectation of G E J Presidency 2011 - 2015 by Kobojunkie: 3:27pm On Apr 17, 2011
Ogbeni, can we all please stop with the praying now??

Time of prayer has gone, if we elected him, it is time we DEMAND he do what we want or we find ways to KICK HIM OUT!

yess with ELECTRICITY Nigeria and Nigerians will achieve/develop soooo much in sooo short a time, u will be amazed

then we also need a free and fair census (population count) so we know how in this world a desert enchrouchment can have more population than a busy tropical region, ([s]no wonder they have less than 60% turnout for election in most of d northern state, [/s], hm,mmmmmmmm i guess the freeness of the election made it diff for the non-living humans to appear @d polling stations)

give us a break joooo, we are not yet there , WE ACCEPT
we are on our way okay, so give us electricity

afterall, they are even spending the billions now and we are still not seeing anything, let the president of 2011-2015 give us electricity and census,
in 2015 we will demand something else from the then president,

afterall Rome was not built in a day, we accept to take ONE STEP AT A TIME.

MEND CAUSE THERE WILL BE NO FEDERALISM
Re: What Is Your Expectation of G E J Presidency 2011 - 2015 by hercules07: 8:59pm On Apr 17, 2011
Nigerians are their own worst enemies, we have voted in a man that people feel is decent ( no achievement in twelve years) on the platform of a party that has enslaved us, my own take on everything is that we are not ready for good leadership, when we are ready for it, the Ijaw man, the Yoruba man will vote in people who will best represent his interests irrespective of tribes. I do not expect anything from a GEJ Presidency, electricity might come but the costs will be too high, corruption will remain the same, the law enforcement agents will continue to abuse the law and last but not least, there will not be true federalism.

Same old story, after 4years.

Nigeria is in a sorry state. Provision of common Electricity is now term as an achievement. Construction of roads is an achievement, hmmmmm. No wonder u see a big Board at the end of a just 3km road built by a so called honorable governor. A speaker of the hse and a governor nearly exchange blows because of an uncompleted bridge construction. All these under Fi-Di-Fi. grin grin

Our cries for stable electricity supply would get more stringent because we may not be getting more than 10% of what we are getting presently.

A lot more foolish and careless squandering of the national resources.

Further depletion of our foreign reserve.

Madam Umblerra or Madam Umblelah would start representing our country in international fora.

Further acquiescence by Jona to governors' request to share more money

When your northern leaders were in power, what did they do apart from tear this country apart with authoritarian rule? Aren't the likes of IBB and Abacha the ones that set the precedence for the current decadence in Nigerian politics? Who is deceiving who? Are their no young minds from the north (apart from that Ribabu puppet)? Why must it be BB?
