Croatian diver Budimir Buda Šobat has now broken his own record after holding his breath under water for 24 minutes.

Budimir Buda Šobat was already the Guinness World Record holder for holding his breath under water.

However, he smashed his own record with a new record time of 24 minutes and 33 seconds.

Šobat set the new impressive World Record at a swimming centre in Sisak, where fans watched on.

For the new world record, he increased the oxygen levels in his body just before he goes underwater.

Šobat held his breath for more than double the current world record for static apnea.

Šobat was also the previous World record holder at 24 minutes and 11 seconds.
