I've always wondered why online goods and items are overpriced than in the regular market?

Recently I saw a shoe I liked on Instagram and asked for the price.... The online vendor said it was 26k last... I went to the address on their page and bought it for 20k a week later.

Even if you want to add money for delivery.... At least make it more reasonable for buyers and not a type of cut-neck price.

Aside the shoe sef.... Your regular long sleeve shirts and shorts that you'll get at the market for a reasonable price are always three or four times the amount of it online.

To me it's just madness.... Nobody says you shouldn't make profit, but at least do it with care... Putting your customers into consideration.

It is expensive because they have to pay their digital marketers.
Beside I see no reason to buy things online if the product is readily available in market. I only patronize online stuffs if the product is scarce.
The reason why anybody should patronize online shops it is because it is cheaper. In other countries online stuffs are cheaper than the regular traditional shop.
To our online sellers to boost sales you...

1. Make your merchandise cheaper or the same with the traditional markets.

2. Sell things that their brands are not readily or easily available. Brands like bags, shoes, writ watches, electronic gadgets.

3. Do not sell perishable product, if at all do not sell foodstuff online. Like dried fish, bread, meat e.t.c. if at all you are moved by the spirit, make sure you sell i large quantity to retailers. Like selling half dozen bag of rice, or one full bag of dried fish. I saw someone selling dried fish for #750 while delivery fee is #1000, why would any sane person patronize it. Selling #7500 as a unit( ten pieces) will justify the delivery fee.

4. State the price of your merchandise when advertising, this in fact will filter off in serious people. In contrast to most marketers belief that stating price will drive off customer and make competitors know your price. Online business isn't like traditional business that you compete with price, NO you compete with awareness.

5. Don't be rude.

6. Think of number one Again

Exactly what I do also, I only patronize things online I rarely see in the market. And I can't buy perishable goods online.

I doubt it has anything to do with paying their digital marketers, I just feel like they do that just to make double the amount of money they would make on a regular day.... Cos they are bringing the product to your doorstep.

Have you seen the prices of things in Ajebomarket? I often laugh out loud whenever I see those ridiculous prices online.
The thing is that some Nigerian are now becoming addicted to online shopping and most times, it's because of laziness.
Some ignorant ones often think that the things they bought online are of more quality than the ones sold in the market simply because of the way the seller advertised and re-packaged it.
Then, there are the slay kings and slay queens who always want to be seen buying expensive things to show off.
