This is similar to Esther's declaration that the Jews should fast when the lives of the Jews were threatened and Esther decided to go and meet the king at a time when it was forbidden to enter the King's chamber. Esther declared fast to seek for mercy.

Esth.4.16 - "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."

It was a norm for the Jews to declare fast to seek for mercies when their lives were threatened, never did such become a commandment to be a yearly thing that u want to associate with your pagan practice of fasting to a moon god.

That is not to say mine is gospel either though, do note. Yom Kippur is similar to annual Ashura in Islam that falls on Muharram 9th and 10th similar to fasting on 10th of Yom Kippur (atonement).

Where was Moses commanded to fast for 40 days and night? I've asked you this question several times and you couldn't answer.

A layman does not understand difference between honey and sugar.

Merely looking at honey and sugar, he says there is no difference in their tastes .

A knowledgeable and practically experienced man tells him that honey tastes different and better than sugar but layman doesn't understand. Experienced man says to layman, "you can not understand how great and better honey taste unless and until you (layman) taste it."
