Hi Fellow Nairalanders. I made certain contributions to similar topics on various threads concerning making money online, blogging etc, and the feedback i've been getting have been quite encouraging.

So, i decided to create this thread, basically to teach the absolute beginner how to start a blog or you tube channel. Also to teach the different ways to make money online with it, using Affiliate marketing and E-mail marketing. I'll also be highlighting tricks to the trade, hidden methods that the pros use to make a steady passive income.

I have been a blogger for over 4 years now. Over that time, I've started two very profitable blogs, and eventually sold them on Flippa for a healthy sum. However, I haven't been as consistent in blogging, as i would have liked, because i'm also involved in a number of other profitable ventures online, such as dropshipping and mini-importation. I'm also a successful web designer (not really a developer, i'm still working on that).

Now, before I proceed, i want to give a word of caution and a disclaimer. This thread is geared towards the absolute beginner who wants to learn affiliate marketing and create a blog or you tube channel, and build it, till it starts yielding money. If you are an experienced blogger, affiliate marketer, or infopreneur, feel free to contribute. But, please, everybody's idea and questions are welcome.

Also, We are all learners (myself included), some of us just happen to know more than others. The info I'll be giving, have been verified by me, to the best of my abilities.

i’ll say, a blog is a frequently updated website, updated with information that’s usually presented in an informal manner. This is usually done with the aim of passing across information or one’s personal views to the readers. Blogs, started as weblogs in the 90’s. it started as a personal journal or dairy which people published online to share personal experiences or perspectives on issues.

However, since then blogs have grown into an effective way to do business and make money. This is done by presenting information about products and services in many creative ways and making money from such information. The process of writing a blog post and publishing it, is called blogging.

There are various ways to make money with a blog, such as:

Affiliate marketing
Google Adsense
Selling your own products (e.g eBooks) or services
Renting out advert space on your pages
Guest posting.

Of all of these methods, affiliate marketing is the most effective for a newbie. Why? Because the other methods require that you have some kind of already established presence and authority in your chosen Niche.
