Sometimes when I look back on all the events that has happened in Nigeria since Independence and how a particular invading ethnic group is riding roughshod on all the indigenous people, I always shudder. Then I will ask myself, what would have been the faith of all these people, especially the Christians and minorities if Igbos were not part of Nigeria.

Anybody that is objective and truthful will agree that Igbos are the only group that have stood up to these invaders from Futa jalon and we have paid a staggering huge price for it too.

The civil war was fought based on this because Igbos realized that Nigeria has no future and these primitive invaders were out to subjugate and reduce others to nothing, and wanted out. Instead of other Nigerians to use that opportunity to renegotiate the country to be a place where everyone will have equal rights, they rather joined forces with the oppressors to fight Igbos that were courageous enough to stand up to the bully.

Today again, 51 years after that terrible uncivil war ended, these same savages have gone full circle in annihilating every other Nigerian and dealing with them like they are slaves, yet again, it is Igbos that are standing up to them while others even go as far as shamelessly using it as a bargaining chip to curry favour.

I ask again, what would have been the faith of other Nigerians if Igbos weren't in this country?

Even before the war broke out, Awolowo openly stated that if Igbos are allowed to leave Nigeria, then yorubas too should be allowed to leave.

It's either people do not understand the real meaning of that assertion or they don't want to accept the truth in it. It was obvious that Awolowo realized that without Igbos being in Nigeria as a counterforce, everyone else would be reduced to slaves. Then I wonder, does it mean this man and his people are incapable of standing up against this invaders just like the Igbos?

Are you sure you read the post?
I'm talking about historic confrontation since Independence.

When were the herdsmen stopped in Edo, Osun or Oyo? Who stopped them?

Let's be truthful with ourselves say it as it is no matter whose ox is gored.

Any careful observer who is truthful knows that it is actually only Igbos and probably Ijaws (due to the oil industry) that Fulanis are wary of.

Igbos are like a lone ranger standing against a formidable force but instead of others at the receiving end like to rally round them, they decided to be sabotaging their efforts.

That's a flash in the pan at best. I'm talking about consistent attempts at stopping these people, and not a spontaneous mob action that ends as soon as it starts and everything returns to the status quo.

History has shown that such spontaneous actions are never enough to stop the savages. If it were, then the Biroms of Plateau, Jukuns of Taraba, Tivs of Benue, Zangon Kataf of Southern Kaduna etc would have succeeded in stopping them but we all know what is currently happening in their places. The savages have continued in their onslaughts more than ever before.

Let's close our eyes for a moment and imagine that Igbos are not part of this country, which other group can stand against these savages?

Any other group that suffered what we passed through would have been so broken and afraid to stand again but not Igbos. Because they're wired differently never to accept oppression and subjugation without fighting back.

It happened in the Carribean during the slave trade era which was famously called the Igbo landing. We also saw it when the British arrived Igboland and the people gave them a tough time.

If you are a Christian or a minority whether North, South, East or West of the Niger and you continue to criticize the Igbos unnecessarily or join these savages under whatever umbrella to condemn the Igbos, then have it in mind that you're doing yourselves.

What the Igbos are fighting for will also benefit everyone because all we want is a fair and just Nigeria with equal rights for everyone or a broken up Nigeria.

Can't minorities all over Nigeria understand this?

Do you all think that these savages will stop one day and accept you all as equals if you don't challenge them like Igbos are doing?

If for whatever reason, you can't stand up and fight for justice, then the least you should do is to support those that are doing so!

What is happening now is a war of attrition to conquer the rest of Nigeria.

I have read history books how Hausa city states were conquered, and their kingdoms forcefully taken over.

I have also read how Illorin used to be a Yoruba town until it was forcefully taken over.

I have also read how some communities in the North were recently taken over with force.

Now these people are on a final push to take over the rest of the country! They are no longer pretending about it but yet despite this, some other Nigerians will rather criticize and sabotage the Igbos who are about the only significant force challenging this evil.

Then you ask, why are some black people so incapable of thinking and reasoning properly to know what is good for them and where their interest is??

Trust me. I started attacking governments. Going on live missions long before many in this generation became activated politically. I won't join issues with you.

At this pace these savages are going with unrelenting force, what do you think the situation would be like in say 10 or 20 years from now? Don't you all know that we would be having these people as indigenes of all the states in Nigeria?

People would have said it would be impossible to have a particular ethnic group dominate every government agency, ministry or parastatel etc a few years ago. But it is now happening before our very eyes, they have cornered every meaningful thing in Nigeria to themselves with a brazenness that is both as alarming as it is unbelievable. It has never been this bad, even during the time of military rule yet they don't care about the feelings of others because they see themselves as rulers/masters while others are servants/slaves.

Is this sorry situation what we will want our kids and future generations to suffer from?

OP, a lot of people are already opening their eyes especially natives of the middle belt. A certain Nasarawa state indigene told me how his father regretted fighting against Igbos during the war after attacks on their village by Fulani. herdsmen. The fact is that most southerners subtly agree with what you are saying but I don't understand why they still attack Igbos
