The news is obviously not true.

Going by the law and in fact, going by what the AGF said, the news is not true. The AGF did not say that Atiku was not a Nigerian. What he said is that Atiku is not a Nigerian by birth, which is true.

Atiku is a Nigerian, therefore they can't deport him. This has been settled in the Shugaba case during the second republic.

He is a Nigerian but not by birth and not qualified to be president

I am surprised that after reading the passage, you are still looking for someone to tell you what is written up there. Well since that is what you need, let me help you.
1) nobody is going to deport Atiku. That part of the news is added by Sahara reporter so that people like you will be looking for what is not lost.
2)Atiku is a citizen of Nigeria by 1961 adoption of northern Cameroon into Nigeria but not a citizen of Nigeria by birth. Something we need to verify or wait for Atiku to say otherwise
3) they said there is a provision that made it mandatory that the no1 citizen of Nigeria must be some whose citizenship of the Nation is by birth. that is what we need to find out.
4) if 2&3 are confirmed to be correct, then Atiku is not qualified irrespective of the fact that he ones occupied the office of VP.
Finally. In Igbo land, an adopted son can enjoy all the love and things of the family and the community at large but won't be allowed to carry the Ofor

It seems everyone else just read the topic and comment, if Atiku is not careful if they succeed he might not be able to contest.

The law is what they are using and it always has loopholes, he should take this very seriously.
