At this point in time, you must have this statement, “Why work for someone else when you can be your own employer?” or something along the lines of that. In summary, what they try to sell to you is that you don’t need to work for someone else’s company when you can start your own and become your own CEO and MD. This kind of motivational speaking has been around for years and it’s still very much around.

First of all, what this message is trying to sell to you is that being an employee is a despicable position. In fact, it is a position that you should despise as a human being because if you’re a company employee, that makes you less of a human being.

This is the reason some employees are just bitter towards their superiors and employers. They hate being in a “despicable” position but since it is what pays their bills and they have no other option, they release their bitterness through petty and unnecessary actions or worse making their superiors at loss for words.

The bitter employee who so despises his/her position wants so badly to become the boss, a position that looks like that of a king. The bitter employee wants to become for no other reason than to have the feeling of being in charge. Full stop.

Come, let us reason this together: if everyone in the world became their own boss, pray tell, who would be the employers? How would the economy of such a state be? Would there even be an economy in the first place?

Two, there is absolutely nothing to despise about the position of an employee. If the job pays your bills, why should it be despised?
