A look at some of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's official activities for last week.

4th April
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari, visited Ededege in Isielu LGA and Effium in Ohaukwu LGA in Ebonyi State to commiserate with the people following attacks on the communities. VP Osinbajo also engaged with leaders of the communities on other pertinent issues.

6th April
Vice President Osibanjo commissioned the Dick Tiger road and Dick Tiger street located along Uratta MCC axis in the lmo State capital Owerri, as part of his working visit to the State.

Thereafter, he proceeded to the Imo State Police Headquarters and Owerri Correctional Facility to assess the extent of damage done on the custodial centre after gunmen facilitated the escape of over 1,000 inmates.

7th April
VP Osinbajo decorated the new Acting Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Force; Usman Alkali Baba at the State House, Abuja.

Osinbajo urged the new Police Chief to build trust with the Nigerian people & restore the good name of the NPF.

Later that day, VP Osinbajo chaired the Tripartite committee meeting consisting of the Executive, Legislative, and the leadership members of the APC at the State House, Abuja.

8th April
Vice President Osinbajo attended the book launch of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari entitled 'Being Different' at the State House Banquet Centre Abuja.

Written by Dr. H. Sanni, the book 'highlights her evolution from a silent supporter of her husband’s political ventures to an active mobilizer & campaigner'. The book also covers the “Future Assured” Initiative, which promotes women's health issues and girl child education.

Still on the 8th, VP Osinbajo attended the public presentation of the book; “The Making Of The Nigerian Flagship: A Story Of The Guardian” alongside the celebration of the founder of Guardian Newspapers- Mr Alex U. Ibru (1945-2011). 

9th April
VP Osinbajo flagged off the Solar Power Naija programme of the ESP at Jangefe community, Yan Zaki Ward, Roni LGA in Jigawa State.

The VP says the rollout will continue across the 6 Geo-Political zones, first in Edo, Lagos, Adamawa, Anambra, Kebbi, and Plateau and then go to the entire 36 States and the FCT.

The VP also attended the Turbaning of Water Resources Minister Suleiman Hussein Adamu as Galadima by the Emir of Kazaure in Jigawa State.
