The real issue is actually desertification, which is forcing them southwards in desperation to graze their cattle.

That is why it's happening all over West Africa.

Ghanaian leaders, just like Nigerian leaders, are not dumb, thoughtless and stupid like you.

They realise that despite the crisis, the herdsmen are responsible for providing the meat/protein needs of their entire populations, and so ''flushing them out'' will lead to a rise in malnutrition, which will be 1 million times worse than the comparatively few people affected now by the crisis.

So it is all about finding lasting solutions that don't throw away the baby with the bathwater.

Sheer common sense, well outside the confines of your ethnic/religious hate and tribalism.

Are they the only tribe up north being effected by the socalled "desertification"?
Was Uthman Dan Fodios war against the Hausas also caused by desertification?

Stop running from pillar to post trying to justify atrocity.

Your first moniker, Rossiniki, has just been banned because of your mannerless way of insulting all those who are not swallowing your Taqiyya, and you switched to this one.

Few questions for you however...

Does herdsmen invasion of Ghana justify their invasion of Nigeria?

One of your links says over 100 cows were shot dead by natives whose lands were invaded by marauding Fulanis, did you see anywhere the govt of Ghana arrested those who shot the cows?

But if it had been in Nigeria, the police and in fact all the armed forces of the country would have quickly swooped on those who shot the cows dead and arrested them while quickly charging them to court and send them to prison. But no finger will be raised against the herdsmen. What does that say to you of the Nigerian govt?

The case in Ogun is still fresh in our mind. Where herdsmen killed a traditional ruler and walked free. But when the natives killed cows they were invited for questioning.

95% of herdsmen in West Africa are Fulani. What are you talking about?

What has Dan Fodio got to do with this, you tribalist air head who cannot see anything but through his spear-chucking tribalist lens?

As far as I can remember since the 80s, International and local agencies have been warning of the consequences of the gradual desert encroachment and the drying of lake chad. No government in West Africa gave it serious attention, now we have migrants that won't mind killing anyone that stops them from feeding their herds

So it is therefore justified for “few people” to be murdered and maimed by herdsmen so that others can have “protein”?

A part of your statement above which pertains to the Nigeria scenario is naive and lacks proper context. It is intellectually disingenuous, misleading, and quite daft.

Fulani herdsmen have been providing meat and protein to the population for eons. The recent fracas is as a direct result of violent land encroachment which has involved the loss of countless number of innocent lives, the taking over of land and the resultant effect of starvation on those who depend on farming to survive.

Lasting solutions only exist when there is a collective will to address the problem.

Thank me later.

It's not only herders that are effected by desertification! Infact farmers in the northern parts of West Africa are far more effected and most of them are not fulanis. The Hausas, the Kanuris, and several other ethnicities. Desertification is a problem, but the only group that created a bigger problem out of that are the fulanis! Desertification is not enough justification for mass slaughters and ethnic annihilations going on in such places like southern Kaduna, Agatu or in Plautue... And yes, Uthman Dan Fodio is at the center of this discuss because he was the leading fulani who started this kind of murderous elimination of people with opposing religious views that we witness with present day fulani herdsmen! And you know what? He didn't kill all those people because of desertification!

If you cared so much about people being killed, why haven't you condemned your your igbo tribesman that go round the world selling dangerous drugs that kill people in their thousands daily, just so they can build a mansions in Nnewi?

At least the herdsmen can argue they do what they do to survive and starve.

What is YOUR excuse for travelling abroad with thousands of dollars to sell drugs?

A number of Igbos sell drugs abroad, this is true and it is despicable. But there are also Ghanians selling drugs in the UK and elsewhere. No one paints all Ghanians with the same brush.

For every Igbo man that does drugs there are thousands more who are flourishing in business, arts, science, politics etc. We are hardworking, intelligent hustlers.

The herdsmen who engage in acts of violence should be destroyed completely. The herdsmen who do their business legitimately should be left alone, but they must abide by the laws of the land.

Those who take drugs, do so out of free will.

Show me evidence of an Igbo man pointing a gun on anyone’s head all over the world, demanding that he buys and use drug.

How do you compare that to brainless marauding fools who come with their cattle to eat farmers’ crop, rape their wives and kill them if they ever dared to complain?

You seem blissfully unaware what the drugs your people sell do to people.

''Illicit drug use is – directly and indirectly – responsible for over 750,000 deaths per year''

So remind us again WHY Igbos have the right to go round the world killing people?

What about your brothers who are addicted to cough syrup, opiods, weed and many others. Is it the Igbos that are suppying them.

Think and then talk.
