The Muslims in Nigeria have joined their counterparts in all over the entire world to commence their holy fasting, which connotes with the sightening of the lunar moon today.

Hon. Abiodun (SLYKOKO) in the OGHA representing Ijebu North State Constituency 1 has forwarded a felicitation message to all muslims in his domain and Ogun State at large.

As contained in the message; Abiodun rejoices with the generality of the Muslim faithfuls for witnessing another sacred month of fasting, whereby Christians just ended theirs during just celebrated Easter.

Slykoko emphatically admonished that Muslims should endeavour to abide with the teachings of Ramadan, by been law aboiding, piety, obedient and prayerful.

Hon. Abiodun appealed to Muslims to maintain their known attributes by the scriptures such as peace lover and peacemaker.

On a final note, the honourable seeks fervent prayers on our dear country called NIGERIA's economy, peaceful co-existence, menace of insecurity and political instability.

He enjoins Ogun State indigenes to support and put hope in the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun led government as many more dividends of democracy are already put in place for better development of our State, all and sundry.

Apart from the religious and spiritual blessings, fasting makes one to be conscious of the existence of God.It has been medically proven to be good for the health (it cleans the human body),it makes the rich to feel the situation/condition of the poor(they should know that some people are always in this state of hunger, in order for them to be compassionate towards the poor.. It makes one to control his/her sexual desire..etc..it has many benefits.
