Which side won the war between ESN and the Nigerian joint security task force yesterday?

Well it appears the Nigerian security won the publicity war, after all any publicity is good publicity right? the killing of Commander Ikonson (a much touted high profile figure within the ESN hierarchy) somewhat undid the clear case of a pyrhicc victory won by the Nigerian security personnels over a popular "terrorist"...nothing else matters to them including the scores of their men that were brutally mowed down in the clash.

ESN killed more Federal security personnels from all accounts, so its not farfetched to conclude they won and lost at the same time (losing a very key member in their rank).

Conclusively, we can easily preen which side won and lost the battle in Oru East LGA, Imo state from the mindsets of both warring parties based on their general reactions to their slain comrades... while the Nigerian side seem more concerned about the slain Commander Ikonso than their men who were neutralized in the ferocious battle, the ESN side seem more demoralized by few of their men who fell in battle than the "enemies" they took down themselves. So from this synopsis, we can deduce that ESN lost yesterday from the psychological perspective of the crisis even though they inflicted more casualties on the "enemy", and this war is far from over cause more needless deaths will happen in the coming days, weeks and months on both sides.

You sound like you are a fledgling terrorist..let's even say for one second the esn killed 2000 of the jtf, why is it painful that ikoNso was killed... is he not but one man ? Or is the lives of the jtf members is some way inferior ?

Life will go on and the needless battle will be story ...it is better to be wise and peaceful than to be hard headed and troublesome...

Ojukwu learnt this the hard way

It takes intelligence to know that the Biafran civil War was way more than a territorial battle, it was more of a battle against oppression, in that light Ojukwu won, bcus we proved the point we set out to make.

We held and fought the oppressors and her league of world powers for 3 yrs.

That's a good fight.

stop tagging Ojukwu with anything that has to do with ipob, Ojukwu was the selfless leader of the Eastern region before the war, ipob is just a seccessionist sect like some others we have in Igboland.

Ojukwu declared the war.

He led the war.

When Defeat was staring in his face, he escaped to Ivory Coast taking his lovely Mercedes along, leaving millions he had misled to perish.

He later came back to declare support for Shehu Shagari, a Fulani man.

Then same Ojukwu ran to become President of the same united Nigeria he once declared war against; sacrificed millions of igbos in the process.

Ojukwu was compelled by the people to go on exile, having decided to go back to the Union, they knew very well that he was not safe in the hands of the Nigerian govt.
