Stablecoin and USD collateralized futures are more favorable for prolonged exposure. They are also less complicated when trading altcoins than the BTC collateralized futures. However, there are also clear advantages of using BTC as collateral in the derivatives market. It's a new currency, so not all banks accept them, but bigger banks and maybe some online banks will gladly take BTC as security for a loan. I have seen a post about this on https://uphold.com/en/assets/crypto/buy-xrp. You can check it.
