Between Travelling To Oman For Work And Remaining In Nija by ChiefB: 1:54pm On May 01, 2021
Please I need advice on the option of abandoning my half a million naira income in Nigeria and sought-after a better option outside Nigeria (preferably middle eastern countries) considering the dwindling currency rate, insecurity and standards of living.
I know somehow it's risky but the risk I face daily here in Nigeria now is surppasing hence the need to think of other option.
I've been a field worker( in oil and gas) for the past 10yrs, is it possible and where can I secure a similar role without regrets.
I appreciate sincerely.

This is exactly my fear.
Certainly Oman is off my plan, but where is other possible destination other than Canada. I just need to leave Nija before it gets dark.

Forget about traveling this period of pandemic...

Keep saving some good cash.. later you can apply for work permit directly from Nigeria...

Get ur permit approved before you pack your luggage

The only reason I wll dvice you to try Oman is because you into oil and gas.

Oga from my experience travelling I would advise you to forget about Canada or USA for now. Their visa rules are too strict, unless you're going through study route then fine. With the kind of money u make and experience, try Poland, Germany, Norway, Estonia or Brazil etc. These countries I mentioned are far easier to enter and survive. Kalas!

Go to Dubai. Visa is fast and under 6weeks your papers are ready. I'll advise you use a travel agent when applying cos they the ones to link you up with jobs and accommodation over there. Everything won't be more than 800k. I'm not a travel agent and please don't ask me to link you with any either.

You can start with 130-160k job. Work for sometime, save Canada or UK money and leave for good. Dubai is just a stepping stone to enter better European and North American countries.
Do this and you won't regret it.

The Dubai option I'm told is below my target. I rather work more here with my present income save and move straight to Canada.
I've been to Europe(Finland) before and had a funny experience, but I might try a 2weeks visit to Norway and Germany to access my chances before I resign from my present job.

I taught you haven't been out before and hold a virgin passport. Since you've been to Finland before, try apply Germany direct from Naija or if you got enough money, process the Dubai tourist visa yourself, go to Dubai, spend 3-4weeks and come back to process your German visa. This will boost your chances of getting the German visa.
