Tony Elumelu is one of the most influential men in the world .And this has confounded critics, who say this is only possible with membership of the either the Ogboni cult or an exclusive worldwide fraternal order. They are unable to come to terms how a man from Aniocha North Local government area in Delta State with a bachelors's degree from Ambrose Alli University and Master's from University of Lagos can boast of Head of States,Presidents daughter's, celebrities, top government officials and CEO's of fortune 500 companies on his contact list.

He is a familar face at the exclusive invite only World Economic Forum, held annually in Davos, Switzerland. This brings about world leaders, enviromentalists and CEO's of the most influential companies in the world.

He also setup the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) that is an African non-profit organization founded in 2010 and headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria The Foundation is intent on charting a new course for African philanthropy and does not operate merely as a grant-awarding organisation but provides a holistic system of effective and intensive support for entrepreneurs through its 7-pillar model. So far, the Foundation has empowered 7,520 African entrepreneurs across 54 African countries.

Critics say a businessman will be unable to run a complex country like Nigeria. However, what does the country have to lose, having produced the worst set of leaders since 1960, that have turned the country to the poverty and corruption capital and third most misgoverned country in the world.

Nigerian biggest timebomb is the massive youth unemployment. He has provided employment to thousands of Nigerians through UBA,Transcorp,Heir Holdings and his foundation. This man cares about the youths of the nation and empowering their entrepreneurship ideas.

Under his leadership Nigerians can expect massive inflow of foreign investment and structured organization in the management of the nations scarce resources. There is not one leader in business, politics, sports or entertainment industry he does not know. For once Nigerians will be proud to have someone they can call a President, who is will be respected globally.

Tinubu will do better in which areas?

Corruption: He is the poster child for corruption
Healthcare: He just came back from medical treatment in France
Fighting Drug Trafficking: We all know of his case in Chicago,USA
Youth Empowerment: Lagos is headquarters of agberos. MC Oluomo is a king in the streets if Lagos. You see Elumelu circle, he can never associate with agberos, but only youth entreprenuers and celebrities.
Due Process: He awarded his personal company Alpha Beta monopoly to collect Lagos states taxes in 2003 when he was governor at 10% commission.

Difference between Elumelu and Tinubu: While Elumelu teaches and empowers youths on how to fish and survive on their own. Tinubu on the other hand needs the youths and the poor dependent on him to eat to maintain his power.

Sad,but true. If we had Tony Elumelu's in power despite his human failings since 1960. Nigerian would surpassed South Africa in terms of development.

The Lagos Tinubu made 'literally' with innovative ideas that has become the economic capital of Nigeria and one of the largest economies in Africa is what Elumelu is leveraging on today to "empower" the so called youths..

If only you could drop the hate that has blinded you to appreciate talent. then maybe you'd understand why they call him "Asiwaju Eko", "Jagaban Borgu" oko Oluremi.. the guy is on a class of his own.

Lagos is regarded as one of the worst cities in the world. And that is the mediocrity you are celebrating.

No former governor in Lagos goes for medical treatment in the state or send any of their children to any of the schools in the state. The water you drink in Lagos is from your borehole. Can you send any of your children to any Lagos public school?

I deal with facts and not sentiments. Lagos was not created after 1999, it was a former capital and had the headquarters of oil multinationals, banks, insurance and construction companies since the 70's, long before Tinubu assembled the throne in 1999.

This was how Lagos looked like before you were born in the 70's. It has always been the economic nerve of the nation.

Many people in the 70's will tell you Tinubu made Lagos worse .He empowered agberos that are causing nuisances on the street everyday. And we also witnessed how One Million Boys terrorised neighbourhoods during the lockdown.

Do you mean the runaway most wanted cocaine sniffing, indian hemp smoking, gbana snorting and ogogoro gulping Chicago Drug Baron Tinubu?, a man who lied to have graduated from the university of Chicago degree. A man governed Lagos State yet his place of origin Is still unknown. A man who disowned his own Mother even at death. A man whose first daughter is aged 60 but he's still claiming to be 69, nine years older than his daughter.

You're simply irredeemable.. how does picture of buildings and aerial photographs of places like Broad Street, CMS Bookshop, Marina in Lagos Island negate the point I made earlier?

Do you even understand 'economics' to start with? More and more places and smart investments have sprung up like Banana Island, Eko Atlantic city, Lekki Free Trade Area and the the Lekki Deep Seaport, etc.. You need to wake up and see progress.

More places were obviously going to spring up. Lagos population climbed to 20 million. You are the one that is simply irredeemable.

I showed you the ranking of Lagos relative to other cities in the world.

Even in Africa it can't rival Cape-Town,Johanessburg,Cairo,Windhoek,Pretoria,Tunis, Casablanca,Algiers, Durban in terms of social amenties like portable water, electricity, healthcare, transportation, transparency, sanitation, public schools and traffic management.
