Actually $25 with friends and family on Metro Pc. Why pay so much when you have a lot of alternative number and even cheaper networks
Lol.. metro pc? That is one of the worst network in US! Very cheap but very unstable network.. I just dump it some time ago.
I use AT$T and Cricket. AT$T is $55/month unlimited Cricket is 50/month unlimited. Here in Texas.

here in lagos, it's 1500 for 1GB per 3days

For a 1.5GB data to survive for three days, it takes only WhatsApp to achieve that.

I was on Telegram in a Japanese channel and there were multiple video uploads of 1gb+ and I was not happy to be so data limited.

So, what's the cost of data in the country you currently reside in and have there been changes in prices, what complaints do you have concerning data and compare with Nigeria.

Cost of data is the least of your worries abroad.

Out of the 30 comments on this Frontpage, it was only 7 people that gave the OP the answer he was seeking, while 80% of posters were just typing jargons and eating up space instead of to chill out and let us learn and compare prices in our darling nation with oversea countries out there.

In foreign forum, you will see members chilling out without commenting to learn something that will impact them for life.

Neither am i here to argue with you.

Thresholds can be 1tb or 2tb or 100gb or 500gb.

The reason you have threshold is because of network overload. If everyone uses truely unlimited internet, nobody will be able to use the internet.

Customers are allocated threshold to avoid congestion.

Depends on what plans you sign up for, most service providers do that when you are not subscribed to their premium packages, which usually starts from picking a higher download speed. Those who are usually subscribed to download speed below 20mbps may be subjected to reduced speed when they exceed their allocated threshold. But I am certain if you subscribed to a download speed above that, your unlimited internet should really be unlimited.

Tats:
Mobile: 150Gb+unlimited national calls and text = £20 monthly
Home: Unlimited WIFI + house phone + Cable TV including sports = £91 monthly (after discount for triple package).

Practically don't use the mobile data now as working from home and phone connects to home wifi.
Home service provider said I used 116GB in April and that is mainly due to conference & video calls and work email attachments.
Buh the £20 is a whole lot of money in naira sad

Did you put the quality of the data and the GDP into consideration? How much is unlimited data and how much is minimum wage. Note also that most state and private pay far below the so called minimum wage. What is the average speed of data after paying? Is it a norm to look for network or wait for particular times of the day and weather?

Data is super cheap in Nigeria. Definitely one of the cheapest in the world.
considering the Nigeria PCI, the average income of the masses, the rate of inflation and the bandwidth, data is highly costly in Nigeria.

One week data don't last up to one week, even with restricted internet browsing. Same goes for one month. On the average, people subscribe up to and more than four times monthly within a month.

The only time the data last is when you are unable to browse the Internet efficiently due to bad network.

After every successive browsing people have to switch off their data just to reach the time limit before subscribing again.

You earn 30000naira minimum salary and you realise that on the average you have already spend 6000naiara on data before the month ends. That is 20percent of one's salary. Where in the world do people spend 20percent of their income on data alone?

The low income earners have to limit themselves to only social bundles and they are blinded to the rest of the internet. This bundles are even costly likewise.

All these are excluding calls o which burns airtime alot in this country: with rate upto 30k to 50k per second.

Indeed Nigeria is the most cheapest data country in the whole wide world

Those are special offers and don't work in every line. You guys should stop making it sound like it's a standard data package, even after a few months it will stop working on your line.

Where?

In Nigeria, 1.5gb can be gotten for 300 naira for 7days. That is about 0.7 cents.

I use MTN's #300 for 1.5GB hot deal plan and Glo's #200 1GB Sunday plan. That's 500 every week

pls what provider are u using, I got a vodaphone pay as u go sim, the data is capped at £10 pound for 5gig.
Actually it’s a contract from 3 app network...£10 for the first 6 months and £20 for the remaining duration... pay as you go are very expensive and you’d end up paying more than those on contract...you should be able to get Vodafone data contract as well if you call the customer care
