 Presidents handles Security exclusively as the commander in chief of all Armed Forces, and Chairman Nigerian Security Council Vice President through Office of the Vice President Aguda house Aso rock complex manages economy and everything relating to economy, as the Chairman Economic Council of Nigeria This is as spelt out by the fraudulent 1999 constitution, Osinbajo can't issue out a legal directive to any service chief, they won't comply , yet he can give directives to CBN, Ministry of Trades, Ministry of Finance and everything relating to economy . |

helinues: Buhari is fully aware of the situation let's not make excuses that he needs Osinbajo to tell him anything... He reads newspapers daily, his office TV is always tuned to Chanel's TV almost in all pictures of VIP visitation, Daura Village head who happens to be his ADC's father also got kidnapped.. So my argument is , saying Osinbajo is quite or not telling the President the Koko or he is doing nothing is very wrong . |

Moreover nobody is sidelining him , rather he chose to remain quiet because he is a failure, disaster that has ran out of ideas. How have they been able to do that that they can do the same on security matters? Would investors invest in an unrest place? Are they, Government entirely not concerned or is it because none of their relatives have been victims? This people have been claiming of meeting and meeting while the security situation is deteriorating? |

The title of this thread asks, "Why is Osinbajo sidelined about the insecurity in this country"? but you can see that he attends security meetings (which is unusual for a civilian vice president), so how can we say that he has been sidelined? |

helinues: Oh! I agree with you that security comes first (I've been saying this since 1998/1999 when people were talking about scrapping the Army). Dead people don't ride trains or use ports. However, as I said during the last administration, the security issue is very complex and unfortunately many people are not analysing it properly. We are fighting against a large, well funded, experienced and sophisticated international terrorist ring, but we are stupidly allowing our local differences like partisan politics, ethnicity and religion get in the way of focusing and defeating the terrorists. Secondly, the problems in our security architecture are huge. Military rule nearly destroyed our security system and we have not focused on rebuilding it since we returned to civilian rule. These things take a lot of time and money to build up and these are 2 things that we don't really have. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

helinues: Before President Proceeded on sick vacation, he wrote to the National Assembly transferring all his Presidential Powers to Vice President Osinbajo, Making him the Acting President and Commander in Chief.. with his power as Commander in Cheif , he was able to sign off modular refinery lisence to indegenes of Oil producing community just to pacify them, with his power he was able to fire Lawal Daura the DSS boss who wanted to cause security breach at the Senate, All this he can't do as a Vice President, but only as an Acting President or President Commander in Chief |
