Your vocational training can give you faster funds than your University Degree will in this current economic quagmire.

However, there is also a possibility of earning big with your university degree, though a chance of this happening is slim in Nigeria currently.
Interests also matters because not everyone is wired for academics, some people are wired for handwork (I particularly love Germans in this aspect)
