In the first 2 weeks of the term, the size of the usual diet of a pregnant woman is increased slightly – by only 10%. This does not mean an increase in the size of the portion, the cat’s stomach is small, you should only bring the feeding up to 4-5 times a day.

The third week will require 50% more food, but overfeeding is unacceptable: it can lead to obesity of kittens and severely complicated childbirth.

Starting from the seventh week, the female’s appetite decreases, which is caused by increased pressure of the peritoneum, overflowing with fruits. Now you need to feed the coon less, 3 times a day is enough. The mother’s body needs unloading, the babies no longer need enhanced nutrition. With a complete refusal to eat, it is worth giving the animal rest – this may be a symptom of the onset of labor.
