Not every player will play in multiple clubs before they can be considered great players. Paulo Maldini was a one club man. It didn't make him any less a great player. So was Francesco Totti, Matt Le Tissier and Stevie Gerrard to an extent. Messi shouldn't be an option. It's even more glorious for him considering how many of d geniuses that played with him at Barca have moved on yet it diminish his brilliance
