All these epistle on top 5k
He sent me an OTP for "rectification" on my complaint. I believe he was going to clean me out completely if I sent that OTP back to him.

Ordinarily it would be obvious, but how did the scammer know about my transaction? Mind you, this guy followed me first on Twitter before I followed back, then the discussion began. I was targeted for this scam attempt with that 5,100 as bait. How did the scammer know of that 5,100 I only informed Zenith via DM and DM alone. I didn't tweet openly about it. I know how to use Twitter.

you dogded this bullet. Abeg do giveaway naa. Country tough o

If you had given them the OTP, they would have wiped out your entire money.

Zenith bank needs to enlighten their customers. Too many clone accounts on twitter.

I almost got scammed too with this same technique. Had an issue with money sent from a client so I decided to contact their twitter handle. Immediately, I received a reply asking me to click a WhatsApp link which I did. The scammer then asked I send my login details. Immediately I knew then I was about to be scammed .

Read this carefully.

Its is definitely a scam and the OTP sent to you was actually really from Zenith Bank, incase you dont know there is a Mini POS Machine [The one this local money dealers use] that has a Cardless option where they only put your account number and the amount they want to withdraw from that account then to confirm the payment an OTP code will be sent to the number attached to the account to get debited.

So either the Zenith Customer agent was involved or someone else targeted you.

Note: he could have actually removed more than 5,100 if u had given him the code.

Thegracefulness:

I took my time to read your post. You were wrong when you said Zenith Bank was collaborating with this scammer in an effort to dupe you. This is Twitter. Every tweets made from a public account is public. The “scammer” has been monitoring the Zenith bank’s official social media page, and saw tweets relating to your cry for assistance. Then the “scammer” decided to inbox you. Can’t you see the deceptiveness of the fake page is glaring? It has very few followers, and the username is deceitfully orchestrated to lure not-very bright individuals like you. Fortunately, you were quick to identify that this was a scam attempt. Next time be careful in your financial dealings. How much is five thousand (5000) Naira, that a Zenith Bank staff would collaborate to steal from you. Haha. Some of you sef.
N5,000 or the N5,000 is not the target, the target is OP’s account balance which is certainly not N5,000.

You’re not very bright either.

Lol... The money you got back is not from the scammer but from Zenith Bank. I had thesame experience. It always happened when you use paystack or flutterwave and had a fail transaction and was debited, I was later credited to my 1xbet account and money was reversed to my Zenith account.

Many Customers complain that Zenith bank staffs are the most greedy and unscrupulous they know. Many of them work hand in hand with tech scammer. In December I pressed 100k, but it kept giving me 10k, 10k... Just to be deducting charges. I wanted to cry at the Zenith ATM that day.
