Gov. Hope Uzodimma Receives Nwangele Stakeholders, Ozurigbo Conspicuously Absent by Njokuobinna(m): 12:38am On May 28, 2021
GOV. HOPE UZODIMMA RECEIVES NWANGELE STAKEHOLDERS , CHIEF UGONNA OZURIGBO CONSCIOUSLY AND CONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT IN THE STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP MEETING :

+ Njoku Macdonald Obinna

Owerri, Imo State.

In continuation of his wider consultation with Imo leaders across the 27 local government areas in the state, Governor Hope Uzodimma received in audience at the prestigious Sam Mbakwe Excos Chambers , cream of Nwangele stakeholders ; the political class , traditional rulers , Presidents -General of town unions, religious leaders , market men and women; including the youths.

The colorful stakeholders' delegation was ably led by Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, member representating Nwangele Constituency; who also doubles as Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly alongside the leadership of the LGA across party lines under the dynamic , proactive and responsive watch of High Chief Johnbosco Ozigbu ,PhD (Ngele of Nwangele ).

Obviously elated Imo State governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma commended the industry spirit of Nwangele stakeholders , their show of commitment and solidarity in galvanizing support for the Shared Prosperity Administration at the grassroots, especially, at a trying time like this .

In recognition of the strategic role played in the global sports arena by a great Imo son from Nwangele LGA, the late Dick Tiger Ihetu ; in using his boxing championship titles to project the African continent in one hand and Nigeria in particular, before the rest of the world, Governor Hope Uzodimma heartly informed well seated Nwangele leadership and stakeholders that plans are on top gear to immortalize the late boxing hero and legend as the indoor sports complex at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, shall be named after him: since such honour best defined what he stood for as well as befitting of his name , milestones recorded and legacies left him.

While correcting a seeming wrong remark made by Chief Ken Ukaoha , one of the critical stakeholders in attendance , when he pressed home the idea of considering first and carrying along members of CampHope ; an umbrella political structure founded and funded by friends, business associates and political allies of Sen. Hope Uzodimma, primarily for his governorship ambition.

A rather articulate and thoroughbred boardroom political strategist , Sen. Hope Uzodimma , 4thestatereporters gathered, waved outside such polarised politics but maintained that all are equal since the Shared Prosperity Administration is poised towards working very assiduously for the developmemt of Imo State ; while placing the common interest of her people above party or individual interest because party comes and goes but the people remain.

In his own address, an excerpt which was extracted by 4thestatereporters.com from the Public Enlightenment Office of the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma was quoted to have said:

`` There is no political party you will form in Imo State that the members will not be Imo people. ``

`` At a time it was the NPP and NPN. At another time, it was the NRC and SDP.
In 1999, it became PDP. We were all members of the PDP. Party will come and go, but our people will remain.``

`` We all know ourselves, what we want is what will benefit our people. No need for quarrels and infighting, the dividends of democracy will go round. ``

`` I am here as governor under the banner of APC , but that doesn't mean I will not recognize my brothers in other political parties .``

The governor , however, among other things laid great emphasised on the need for an industrial nay agricultural cluster in Nwangele communities; inorder to enhance food productivity and boost the economic propensity of the locals while creating jobs for the teeming youths .

From the above, therefore, the floor was opened for Nwangele leaders and stakeholders to air their opinions as well as present the challenges of their people before the Shared Prosperity Administration under Governor Hope Uzodimma; while showing their avowed support and solidarity.

As if the odd was against him. Surprisingly , not even one person commended the efforts of the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Nwangele LGA , Hon. Chief Cosmos Iwuagwu , as the various speakers accused him of running a 'One -Man- Show' as they accused him of not calling for leadership |stakeholder's meeting since inception of office, they maintained.

A critical stakeholder and powerful leader in the LGA, Chief Donatus Nwaogu (Double -Chief) lampooned the IMC Chairman for his outright political demeanour , overbearing disposition and lack of inclusive administration. An attitude which has created a leadership lacuna and political erosion among the stakeholders.

Speaking with the mandate given to him onbehalf of the leadership and good people of Nwangele LGA, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwunyanwu deposited thus :

``Nwangele people have decided to tie their political destiny with you!

Anywhere you go, we go with you.
Anything you do, we will support you.

Where it hurts you, it hurts the people of Nwangele. What gives you joy, gives the people of Nwangele joy.``

`` Your Excellency, Nwangele is hundred percent with you! ``

In another twist of political melodrama, a supposed conspicuous absence of the immediate past House member, Chief Ugonna Ozurigbo; who now represents Nkwerre|Isu|Nwangele|Njaba| Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives was not noticed as the leaders and stakeholders in attendance tenaciously pressed hard to get the attention of the state governor .

In his avowed attempts but failed strategy to use absence to increase respect and honour , this power play approach adopted by Chief Ozurigbo Ugonnawas rather decoded and demystifed as the several times he was reportedly busy with his legislative assignments in Abuja as a federal lawmaker, we learnt he consciously dodgged leadership or political meetings called at the instance of Governor Hope Uzodimma and the APC State Executive under Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo ; simply because of his political soul -tie with Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha and his Rescue Mission family |APC Agburu faction .

Funny enough, while some of his diehard online supporters had taken the bullets on his behalf to defend his obvious absence at the Stakeholders Meeting with the governor, Chief Ugonna Ozurigbo was spotted in Nwangele a few hours to the meeting and later at his new hotel; Sweet Peace Suite, our source disclosed.

Is the National Assembly in session? The answer is an emphatic no as the leadership and membership of the 9th National Assembly is currently on oversight function in their various geo-political zones in respect to the 1999 Constitution Amendments.

While Ozurigbo has decided to pitch his tent with his political benefactor, Rochas Anayo Okorocha , his personal rights and decision. But this noise by his followers with a background support from him as they go about boosting that he is more popular than a sitting governor, is one of the gravest mistakes they are making. `` As nobody can ever win a fight with the boss .``

By his actions and inactions, the media handlers and advisers of Chief Ugonna Ozurigbo should candidly advise him to be more tacit in his relationship with Owelle Rochas Okorocha who is unarguably not on the same page with Governor Hope Uzodimma. Because an inherited enemy is also an enemy of my father.

The ability to measure people and to know who you are dealing with is the most important skill of all in gathering and conserving power.

If leaders could fly into Owerri from Abuja, Lagos , USA, UK, etc, to attend Stakeholders|Leadership Meeting with the State Governor for the sake of their LGAs, I wonder why a serving Federal Lawmaker who was much around would consciously absent himself from such important and strategic meeting?

Just like OZB, there are also some leaders in Nwangele LGA, who for the sake of political affiliations and party leanings clandestinely stayed away from a meeting where their opinions should be counted! You can only see them come around in the night , Nicodemoulsy. To these leaders, I don't hold anything against anybody as we are one people !

Going through the list of the cream of leaders and stakeholders in attendance, one can say without being guilty of sounding immodest that Nwangele Stakeholders|Leadership Meeting with the governor remains , for the record time , the most outstanding and massively attended outing as the list paraded the following leaders not necessarily by order of protocols:
