MILITARY PENSIONS BOARD: CESSPOOL OF FINANCIAL DECEIT AND CORRUPTION

Payment of Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment, May 27, 2021.

1. Most military pensioners, across all ranks, were paid between N3,000 and N10,000 as Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment, with very few outside this bracket.

2. Just before the payment, a document was circulated online containing a Chart for payment across all ranks. The two-page document captured below was circulated on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. The first page was a covering letter conveying the approval, and the second page a chart for the payment of Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment for military pensioners.

3. I have no doubt about the authenticity of the document which, however, was observed with a minor error. The covering letter was signed by Salaries and Wages Commission on Monday, May 25, 2021 and delivered to MOD the next day, Tuesday, May 26, 2021. The Receipt Stamp, however, bore Thursday 27, 2021 rather than Tuesday May 26, 2021. This could be an error from the receiving clerical staff which, in any case, is indicative of admin slip up.

4. The document without doubt originated from, and bore the official approval of, the appropriate Fed Govt authority: the National Salaries and Wages Commission. What we were paid is about one-quarter of what is reflected in the Chart. The tiny addition bears no computation relationship with the accompanying Chart.

4. Some of us have long known that what Military Pensions Board (MPB) pay to military pensioners is always far below the approved rate from Salaries and Wages Commission. It is getting worse now.

5. Questions: What happens to the larger potion of the money? Are there some huge secret deductions that are shared among some people in high places? Or did the Govt release less fund and the 'handlers' excercised discretion in sharing the fund? We need clear answers.

5. Fellow military pensioners, if we don't fight tooth-and-nail for our well-deserved entitlements, some of these 'mega-thieves in high places' will bury us alive to sustain their multi-billion wealth status. We certainly cannot keep quiet over this impropriety. We must be prepared to cry and, cry out aloud.

Welcome to real life bro, shebi superior officer is always right

All the orders you obeyed without question/thinking are now firmly stacked against you, but now you've suddenly developed the ability to think for yourself and to figure out what is fair or otherwise... simply because your personal interests are at stake.

Once again bro, welcome to life
