Bandits are attacking Tegina town in Rafi local government area of Niger state.

The Nation gathered the bandits are operating in the main Tegina town shooting, sporadically.

A security source said everyone has taken cover from shots by the bandits.

Some other sources confirmed the development, stating the bandits have taken over Tegina-Zungeru-Minna road stopping vehicles and attacking them.

Calls made to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) were unanswered.
