Don't Kill Innocent Nigerians In The Guise Of Insecurity, Bishop Onuoha Warns by Nwokomaizuchi: 6:14pm On May 30, 2021
The President, Vision Africa International and Co-chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has warned against hiding under the guise of insecurity in the country to kill vibrant and innocent Nigerians, pointing out that life is sacred.

Bishop Onuoha, who was reacting to the killings perpetuated in the country, criticised the senseless killings of Nigerians which according to him, has taken a scary dimension, stressing that the killing of well meaning Nigerians of great repute in the name of insecurity is condemnable.

The Methodist Bishop, said if young and innocent Nigerians continue to die in their large numbers, those perpetuating the killings are doing the country a disservice because these young and vibrant Nigerians are the hopes of a better country, frowning that their deaths mean that the future of the country is bleak.

Bishop Dr. Onuoha, urged the Federal Government to stem the widespread killings of young and innocent Nigerians, noting that the continuous killings do not instill hope in the populace rather, it breeds disappointment, fear, anger and a feeling that Nigeria as a country is insecure for her citizenry.

He also restated his earlier call for the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government to engage all aggrieved segments of the country to dialogue, reiterating that much can be achieved through dialogue than allowing the country slide into war.

The Global Peace Award Winner also appealed to the International Community, World Powers, to assist Nigeria in surmounting her insecurity challenges which has taken a scary dimension, stating that the citizens no longer feel safe just as he called for close collaboration between Nigeria and African countries in the fight against terrorism.

Well said Bishop!

But some people need to have a taste of that war they are clamoring for.

Same mistakes their forefathers made, they are bent on making.

Who knows, 3,000,000 might become 12,000,000
