I thought about why buried at sea too and my guess is it makes it impossible for his followers to have a place to go and be inspired and cause more terrorism and bombing. Obviously, the fishes will eat him very fast! The pictures have not been released perhaps to let things calm down as a lot of people and his followers are so tensed now and releasing it immediately will create the exact effect of burying the body where they can go worship him and be inspired. I guess the pictures will be released after things cool down but if it is NEVER released, then people can really be skeptical of the whole story.
