It's no longer news that the FG under the Ministry of Information headed by Lai Muhammed has suspended Twitter operations in Nigeria, while a few people support the suspension, a vast majority of persons are against it and calling for its reversal. However, of recent is the trending trend on twitter which is Nairaland! Yes you read right. Nairaland is trending for the right reasons for the first time since I've been in and out of Twitter. With the expected inability to access Twitter.com many people are frantically looking for viable options with a vast majority of persons calling for patronage of Nairaland and boycott and total rejection of the Crowe app owned by an apologist of this present government, attention seeker and enemy of common sense and everything good. We won't dignify him by referring to him by the political position he once ran for in a bid to spice up his public image and resume. More like seeking for relevance by saying "friend to a one time junior SA." So Nairaland mods and members and guests, Twitter is talking about Nairaland and no thread on recent, new or trending pages has any awareness of the rise of fame of Nairaland as a safe haven for those who fear they will soon to be ex members of Twitter, without the VPN of course! Nairaland let's talk about Nairaland, is it a viable option to Twitter in Nigeria? Over to you #LetsDiscuss

NL needs to be upgraded with several features. E.g. "Block" feature, "DM" feature, etc But, if they want to come to NL, then they must Twale to those they meet here. We sef get influencers for here. 1 Like 1 Share |
