At least that would send some shivers down Twitter's spine.

An insult to the Presidency is an insult to me, a Nigerian.

I'm first a Nigerian before any other country.

The italicized text shows you're a fool. Wetin concern twitter? China and others ban twitter, did it send any shivers down twitter's spine? No one is complaining of not being able to use Twitter. All twitter lovers continued enjoying twitter uninterrupted. You and your govt are fools tbh

ICT illiterate. The ban is easy to enforce.

Simply keep a team researching on the most used vpn servers and blocking their open ports and blacklisting their ip addresses. Keeping up with the ban is an infinitesimal if the government means it.

Ask those that stay in dubai. No every vpn works because the government keeps up with the vpns.
All they have to do is keep an eye on Google play store and watch comments. Block the next day.

Smart assets download direct and load apk but surely comment someone or recommend people, block.

Some setup private vpn servers but with skilled experts at NCC, this ban can be easily enforced. Only a few smart asses will be using twitter. By the time the lost revenue fowl nyash go open.

As they lost revenue when China and others banned them abi. Na ponmo full Una brain tbh

You think VPN owners are daft?

They change servers and port when you kill any.

They'll just keep rolling out more servers

You can pass your point without insults.

It is because of people like you that I support the ban. Many of you don't know how to use social media.

See, I have been in a country where Syrian refugees were passing. I see families begging daily just to eat. It is a pitiable sight. You people need to be tamed before you set your country on fire. If Nigeria starts a war, which country has the capacity to absorb us?

Try dey get sense.
Your foolishness is really inspiring with this statement. Wasn't it buharis post on Twitter that really is a call for violence

Did he issue death threats? My brother, I read that tweet. I did not see where he issued death threats. Many people condemning the tweet and praising Twitter have not read the tweet.

Twitter just enter Nigeria, shit for our head and waka comot by censoring our President. You just gagged him. No one can do that to a sitting President. He'd be killed.

The picture you show is the tweet of a foreigner (may be you don't even understand how Twitter works which is not an important skills, it's just a platform).

Buhari issues a death threat to YOUTHS taking part in protest for Biafra saying he 'use the language they understand' after talking about the first civil war. So Twitter removed the tweet. His ego is hurt, so he ban the. A week later.

Please go and read the post and show where the post called for violence. "We will speak to them in a language they understand" is a statement can be interpreted in many ways. You just interpreted it the way that suits your own narrative which shows a defect in your reasoning.

Many of you don't read, and even many more hardly think. You allowed your feelings to guide you in dissecting the tweet. I don't know how much you know about natural language processing, data science and machine learning, but be aware that many PhD positions try to detect abusive language and threat in social media posts. If I were you, I'd try to ask the President to explain what he meant? Not assume you knew what he meant and run with it.

Try and show that you did not only go to school, but you are sufficiently educated to filter the things you read. If not that they wanted to flex muscles, twitter shouldn't have deleted that tweet. It is an attempt to gag the President which is an insult to all of us.

Can you write an essay on how 'use the language they understand' is a threat? I do not mean to insult you, but if I can receive 3 pages of that academic document convincing me that it is indeed a threat (which can be independently assessed by Mynd44), I shall send you 20k for data.

I pledge it to you today.
